The hotel is in a great location and although basic is clean and tidy. Breakfast, although basic was a welcome start to the day and tea and coffee were available throughout the day. Free wifi was also available at a decent speed.

The only downside was the noise from outside. It sounded like there was a bar right under our window, with the chatting / singing / shrieking etc going on until 4 / 5 am. I think we were unlucky as others we were travelling with didn't hear anything. Pack decent earplugs just in case! I wouldn't let that distract from what an awesome place Iceland is to visit though, just catchup on your sleep on the plane home!

This cozy hotel does not place you in the lap of luxury, but it certainly is convenient. The rooms are neat and clean and the staff, which is limited, certainly is helpful and the complimentary breakfast is more than adequate. The people seem quite casual about things, but get the job done.

There are a few stairs to climb before reaching the elevator, but can be managed easily, unless lugging a heavy suitcase and you happen to be "of a certain age".

Most people in Iceland speak English very well and are very comfortable doing it. That may not hold true in the countryside.

This is a great hotel, in a great location of the city. The room was a good size, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and their recommendations of places to eat are fantastic! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this fantastic city!

The hotel lies on the main shopping street in Reykjavik. Historically, it has been linked to a night club which has given rise to issues of noise. The night club is now an excellent restaurant and the connecting corridor blocked up so access to the restaurant is now via the street. A very comfortable and well situated hotel. Breakfast is basic,
but substantial. Would definitely use again. Staff are very accommodating and welcoming.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but the rooms are comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a home-base in the heart of Reykjavik this is your hotel. It is well located to be within walking distance of most attractions in Reykjavik. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are quite comfortable. Breakfast is served daily in the sunroom. Again, nothing fancy but plenty to fill you up to start the day. There is a selection of breads, fruit, pickles, cheeses, meats, cereal, and yogurt. And plenty of coffee, tea, milk, and juice.
