The Icelandair Natura is last hotel we stayed in and it was a perfect conclusion to our trip to Iceland. Very relaxing! It is far from the City Center, but they do provide a free shuttle that takes you to the city center (all day) or the Kringlan Mall (mornings only).
It was perfect for us because we had already done everything in the city center earlier in our trip and were ready to relax. We did take the shuttle once to the city center to eat/shop and then once to the Kringlan mall.
You can walk to the Perlan from the hotel which is a lovely walk with lots of trails. We saw two rabbits when we were walking in the forest around Perlan!
The Satt restaurant at the hotel is wonderful and they have the most extensive breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in Iceland. We stayed in one of the Artist Rooms which I highly recommend. Each room is themed on a different Icelandic artist and you get to live with the work for the duration of your stay. The Artist Rooms are also a bit larger, more comfortable and have a better TV than the regular rooms. Our room did look on to the airport runway, but I was fascinated watching the planes.
The best part of Natura is the spa! The pool and hot tub are wonderful and I used them everyday of our stay.
The perfect ending to a fantastic trip!

The Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura is a perfect location for visiting Reykjavik. It's far away from the weekend bar/club noise, however close enough getting to and from the city center. The hotel itself is very stylish with a cool lobby vibe and great spa! I'll be back this coming Sep 2012!

Reykjavik is not a cheap place but we felt like we got a great deal at the natura. The place is very relaxing with an outdoorsy motif and clean bright rooms. The spa is fantastic-there is an area with a sauna, pool and hot tubs that you can use for free, as well as the availability of massage which we took advantage of and both of us had a very good experience.
Secondly, the breakfast in the morning is very good-my boyfriend is a vegetarian which was tricky in Iceland, but he loved the breakfast, as did my meat loving self.
Lastly, it wa my boyfriends birthday and the staff was very accommodating in having champagne delivered with fruit at just the right time.
The hotel is close to everything in Reykjavik if you have a car.
I would definitely stay here again!!

The Family just came back from Iceland and stayed at this hotel for 3 days. While the hotel is nice & clean, it is undergoing a addition/ renovation and still needs time before all is well. Before going to Iceland be aware all prices on everything includes a 25% tax so bring lots of $$$.

Room Tip: Get a room on opposite side of airport.

It was good to be away from the centre and there is a frequent shuttle. We had a great view of Perlan at the front of the hotel (the domestic airport is at the back) and there's a lovely walk through woods to the thermal beach. The spa with swimming pool was amazing and a great place to relax, as was the library which boasts a copy of the Flora Icelandica as well as some stunning art books. In fact the hotel is full of art with lots of amusing sculptures. The room had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. The restaurant was very good with lots of fresh produce and home made butter and ice cream. Vegetarian dish only changes every other day or we would have eaten there every night. Staff very efficient and helpful particularly the tourist information desk.

Room Tip: Rooms in the wings facing courtyard don't have a view except of other rooms. We were at the front with a panorama of Perlan and woods
