The Hotel Cabin was the first and finishing night of our pre-booked trip. Our first night, the room was fine but we subsequently discovered that other rooms were not so good.
Having travelled a long way the first day we were looking forward to a relaxing evening in the hotel with a meal in the restaurant - wrong! We were then told (at 6:30pm) that the apparently empty restaurant was full and they would not be able to accomodate us. We went off and discovered a little gem of a restaurant 15 minutes walk away. When we returned the restaurant was just as empty, but hey ho their loss!
Our final night, well we then discovered how good our first room was in comparisson. We were lucky as we had a window to the outside, other room faced the corridor with no outside window. The room was the width of 2 narrow single beds with a small table between. With us plus two small suitcases every move needed to be co-ordinated. Not a good end to our time in Iceland. Our tour guide had often suggested to the company we used for our trip to change from using the Hotel Cabin - we would say yes please, and we would have been happy to pay more for better.
As I said in the title - avoid if you can!
Fortunately our whole Iceland Experience was so good the Hotel Cabin could not destroy that no matter how hard it tried!!
