My son and I visited this church which towers over the city for a wonderful concert of Christmas music from but one of the church's excellent choirs, their Motettkor. It has a soaring spire that has an elevator with a commanding view over the city from the top, and the interior is vast, somewhat reminiscent of the interior of a large boat such as those sailed by Vikings a thousand years ago. As a 90+% Lutheran country, churches are less decorated than their more Catholic or even other Protestant churches on the continent, but there remains a sense of awe as one visits this modern, sculpture-like edifice.
