I love this hotel, the location is excellent, and very comfortable, the best part of it is the view, I have the lucky of full moon when a was in there, shine like the sun.
I give you a very useful tip, in the street one side of the hotel near of the bookstore there are a restaurant, that had the look of storage, ask for the sea soup, the most delicious soup that I ever taste. But I don´t remember the name of the restaurant, if anyone can help me with the name?

Not only is the location wonderful (Laugarvegur is really the main street), our three bedroom apartment came well-appointed and clean with good decor. Additionally the beds are comfortable, the hotel has an elevator and the staff was very helpful, answering all our questions about the city. Possibly the best part however, was that we were able to check in four hours early, which was great after a red-eye flight. They also have their own driver that goes from the airport to hotel for the same price as the fly bus plus, in less time and no wait! The only downside is that one street over they are doing construction from 9-5ish which is loud and constant... it would be worth emailing the hotel and asking about it and for how much longer it will be happening, but this effects all or most of the hotels in downtown.

Room Tip: Choosing a room on a higher floor may help with noise from the street.

We booked a 4 br apartment which was large and very comfortable for 10.
The apartment was near the city attractions and had a great view of the harbour.
The kitchen was fully equipped and would have been perfect if it provides at least a communal washing machine and dryer.
Drinks was also provided at the reception.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with view of harbour

We only stayed here because the room we had booked at their sister apartments had been trashed by previous guests and was not repaired by the time we arrived. We were offered the nights accommodation at Room With a View Apartments instead. Since we were only staying one night before an early flight the next morning we didn't mind too much.
The guy on the reception desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful.
The room was large and nicely decorated. That is where the positives end.

There was absolutely no sound proofing to block the noise coming from the street below. Even with all the widows shut it was so noisy that we may as well have been sleeping on the street. Yes it was a weekend, but perhaps if your hotel overlooks the busiest street in Reykjavik you might invest in some sound proofing for the comfort of your guests. We didn't get any sleep at all the entire night and ended up leaving for the airport much earlier than we needed to. When we checked out and mentioned the noise as the reason we were leaving early, the guy on reception just shrugged and didn't seem to care. Perhaps the noise level is different on weeknights but I wouldn't take that chance, especially when the unfriendly staff will still be the same. I would never recommend staying here to anyone, we never experienced such poor customer service anywhere else in Iceland, only at Room With A View. Avoid.

The location is just great, being in the main commercial street and you can easily walk everywhere (old harbour, Hlemmur station...) There's a wide variety of restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. The studio we stayed in was very clean and well serviced, we had everything we needed to feel like home! We even had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. There's also an outdoor jacuzzi at the rooftop with a nice view, available for guests 10 to 10, perfect for a rainy day :)
The staff is great! very kind and helpful, providing directions and all the information required. They stored our luggage before check-in and after check-out and they contacted the flybus when they didn't turn-up for the airport transfer to arrange our pick-up.
The only improvement area is the curtains, that didn't cover all the big windows and that's critical at the white nights season (we had to use eyemasks) and also the noise coming from the bars downstairs. Maybe they could isolate those windows better, although we came so tired from the day tours that we ended up sleeping, regardless the party outside. We'll come back and stay here for sure!

Room Tip: Our ensuite studio was just the perfect size for a couple and had everything needed (kitchenette, cd...

This "Apartment Hotel" offers spacious apartments in a great location right in the middle of Reykjavik. That's about all though. There are buses stopping outside the reception for various excursions (or the airport) every hour, so it is very easy to get around and every main attraction in the city is within easy walking distance. The staff is very friendly and ready to help.
There were some really weird things about our place such as the bathroom being through the kitchen, the bedroom having lights on the counters but no outlets to plug them in, the kitchen had a stovetop but no pots or pans... just random!
Our room looked nothing like the website and also most definitely did not have a view unless you count the neighbour's backyard. There are buses stopping outside the reception for various excursions (or the airport) every hour, so it is very easy to get around and
Finally a tip - being in the center of the town, be prepared to have to deal with the parties going on until 5 am - pack earplugs if you need them.

Room Tip: Bring earplugs if you can't handle the noise from the street. Take a bus from the airport - just...

We were in this apparthotel 4 nights and although the staff was helpful and kind ,especially the blonde girl clerk who received us , it's difficult to call this apparthotel a luxury one for these reasons :
The appartment we received was with a bathroom not in the appartment but on the same floor outside the appartment .
The parking of the hotel is tiny and not always is there sufficient places although parking a car in the centre of town is problematic .
The hotel is in a very noisy neighbourhood when the isolation of the appartment is bad .
The hotel is old (with a very old elevator )and the bed was in an armoire .that's rhe first time in our life we slept in an armoire .
Price /quality is unrelated when the hotel is expensive .

Room Tip: If you want quiet and place for parking and a modern place this is the wrong place to reserve
