This hotel is in a great location not too far from the harbour, its great value for money when you consider the prices of everything else in Reyjavik. Breakfast is from 7am until 10am a good selection of bread, cheese, meats, eggs, yoghurts, fruit and pastries.
They will make a packed breakfast should you wish to leave early.
the rooms are clean, crisp and comfortable.
Staff here are really helpful, we missedour pick up for a trip and the lovely lady on reception sorted it all out

Hotel Hilda is a very cute hotel located in a very convenient part of town. There is ample parking, nice amenities and comfortable rooms. Works just perfectly for a base of operations while exploring Southwestern Iceland!

The location was wonderful and the beds were the most comfortable of any place we stayed during our trip. We liked the small hotel feel and the breakfast was sufficient. We never had trouble getting seats for breakfast despite the small room. The bedrooms were pretty tight for the two of us and our carry-on sized suitcases, but we liked the homey feel. I do wish there were some separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so the floor wouldn't flood. Still, the location was great for walking to all of the city's attractions and I'd stay again.

Hotel Hilda is a very cosy B & B situated on a quiet side street just a short walk from the centre of Reykjavik, with very pleasant helpful welcoming staff.

We booked a double room that was quite small but very warm and cosy, bed was very comfy with lovely thick duvets, shower room was small but the shower was one of the best we've ever had in a B & B with endless hot water under a powerful flow, just what you need after a very cold day seeing the sights.

Room is equipped with a TV with lots of channels including all the UK ones, and there is free high speed wifi.

Breakfast room for the Hotel is very small and can only accommodate 8 people at a time so on busy mornings you might have to wait for a seat (there is an outdoor conservatory for summer use) breakfast includes Tea, Coffee, fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt, bread, cold meats, boiled eggs and cheese, so pretty much something for everyone.

Only thing the hotel could introduce is tea/coffee making facilities in the room as after a long cold night waiting for the northern lights to appear a brew when we got back would have been most welcome.

Overall a lovely small B & B that I highly recommend.

Room Tip: No two rooms are the same so when you book if you need a bigger room just ask.

It's main advantage is certainly the central and absolutely quiet location in a side street in a residential area, a 3 minutes' walk from the Tourist information, and maybe a 5-10 minutes' walk from the "Harpa". Staff were very friendly, helpful and forthcoming - maybe not that experienced in tourism (they have students at the reception, at least during night). My (single) room was rather basic but clean. The complimentary shower gel is rather nice - and on sale.
What I missed was a kettle in the room or some coffee/tea making facilities. Particularly in winter, it is nice to have a warm drink from time to time, and not having to go to a café/restaurant every time. Though I have to mention, that in the morning, the breakfast staff let me use the kitchen kettle to fill my thermos.
I slept very well and would go there again.
