Having spent a little less than a week in iceland, this was the only place we found to watch American sports. We came here in May 2014 looking for the NHL hockey playoffs after the recommendation of a local. Now, many people in iceland didn't have any clue about hockey or where we could watch, but one guy told us to try here. ( and they have an iceland hockey teammin mighty ducks 2.... Pssshhh)! Anyways the game started late about midnight local time. We asked the bartender to try and find it for us, but it wasn't part of their package. Although they did have baseball and basketball games available. Mathis one young guy sitting at the bar heard us ask about the Blackhawks game and he googled it and called his friend who told him how to get it, and the guy ended up streaming it live for us on his computer! The bartender hooked it up to the TVs so we were able to watch it live on tv. The bar closed at 1am because it was a weekday, so they ended up kicking us out after the first period. But we walked outside and they had it still streaming live on a tv outside the bar, so we stood and watched it until we got too cold.
This was a great place to hang out and chat with some of the locals too. Everybody was so friendly as well. I can't imagine a place in the states that would do all of that for you. Beers/ drinks were pretty expensive, like $15 for 1.5 liters, but that is about the same at every bar we went to in Reykjavik. I would definitely recommend this to people looking to watch sports in Iceland. We met a lot of exchange students and other Americans here as well.
