“Great room, good location, nice people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Very nice! I had a stay of four nights with my father in a comfortable, clean and modern room with a well-equipped little kitchen: induction stove with two plates, microwave, fridge and sufficient dishes and cutlery. The three cooking pots seemed a bit cheap and one of them looked as if someone had a hard time to clean some burned food away, but that's not really an important matter, I'm merely mentioning it to have *something* negative to say, as everything else was really good. Comfortable beds. Free WLAN working perfectly fine. Friendly and helpful hosts. Location is very convenient - the central bus station is close, and the main sights of Reykjavik are easily reached by foot (even for my father wo doesn't walk as well as he used to). If you're interested in local food, I would recommend the restaurant Thrir Frakkar (3 Frakkar) which is located quite nearby at Baldursgata and serves traditional Iceland cuisine. A cheaper option is the restaurant/cafe of the central bus station (BSI), serving filing, no-frills Icelandic food (lots of meat).

Very close to bus station and a short walk into Reykjavik itself. Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds in good sized rooms. Well stocked little kitchen except for absence of an oven. Only criticism is that the shower and toilet are on the small side but everything to highest standard and delightful, very helpful host.

I stayed in a studio apartment, and it was excellent. The little kitchen has everything except an oven (there's even a fondue pot!). The room was well designed to use the space well and everything is new, modern, and clean. The neighborhood is beautiful. It's a short walk to the Hallgrimskirkja (about 5 min) and a longer walk to the city center (closer to 20 min). The BSÍ bus station is practically across the street so you can catch tours to other parts of Iceland easily. There's a TV with international listening, but I hardly used it since there was so much to see in real life :) the Wi-Fi was excellent. The only thing missing is blackout curtains, so if you're traveling in summer be sure to bring a sleep mask so you don't wake up at sunrise (3am!).

Room Tip: For private bath, choose a studio apartment.

Beautifully designed rooms in the basement of a house in a nice quiet neighbourhood close to the BSI bus station. Well-equipped kitchen to use. It is about 10 mins walk to the shopping areas of Rekyavik. We had a car and could park outside the house easily.

There was only one shower and toilet for 4 double rooms. The only sink for brushing teeth was in the toilet and was very tiny.

Rooms (in the basement) are good looking and designed. The host is friendly and helpful. The place is quite near the BSI bus station which is quite interesting.

Bathroom and toilets are a bit little.

I am satified with this guesthouse. I recommand :)
