It is a good way to spend your time in Reykjavík. Archery is really fun. Unfortunately, this place is a little bit far away from the downtown of the city, but it worth to go there. It is not so far from the nearest bus stop. But there are many people there, so you have to reserve a pitch before you go there!

This was the perfect way to spend a snowy afternoon. Although we had never shot a bow and arrow before, the staff was extremely helpful in getting us going. It's a little bit out of the main area of town, but also neat to ride the bus into more of a residential area to see something different. Very friendly staff and a fun way to spend the afternoon trying something new!

We really enjoyed our time here. We spent over an hour here.

The archery centre is located in a residential area and everyone else there were locals. We were staying at the Capital Inn which was about 10 minutes walk away through a nice wooded park.

You can book by the half-hour at £7.50 or the hour at 20% less at £12. Cold drinks and basic snacks are available at a reasonable price [for Iceland].

All equipment is provided plus an instructional lesson for beginners. We tried 3 different types of bow and my friend (31) new wants to join an archery club.

This activity is ideally suited to families and is a cheap activity compared to everything else in Reykjavik.

This is an indoor location and you pay by the 1/2 hour. They give you a guard for your arm and then instructions on how to shoot and stand. Then you are on your own and can have a friendly competition or just better your own skills. Each person in your group will have different colors and ours had six targets that you could shoot at. This was a first time we did an activity like this as a family and it was a big hit. Not too expensive either. I think it was about 1.000 ISK per half hour. Great staff and a great time.

A walk-in bow shooting range was just what I was looking for on a rainy Sunday. Last time on a medieval market, I managed to miss a straw bale three times in a row. Turs out that with modern precision gear the bullseye is just a matter of a steady arm. You pay by the (half) hour, get a friendly introduction into the sport, and can choose from three types of bow (recurve, longbow, compound) according to your taste - or just try them all to see what you like best. Open every day.
