Was originally booked into an apartment here for two nights but had to change my plans and arrive a day early because of weather issues. The hotel was very accomidating and there were no issues at all. The location can't be beat. The front desk will gladly arrange all sorts of tours for you and they can gibe you lots of great information. If you come here with a car make sure you reserve one of the hotel's parking spaces. It costs a little more but it's worth it as street parking is difficult to find, especially on weekends. The one con would be the Wi-Fi. We were in the back building and could not get a reliable connection. The connection in the lobby was great though.

Very central location, all tour operators collect from here as well as it being central enough to explore sights of Reykjavic from. Extremely helpful staff. Rooms are more basic than perhaps English people are used to- so no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. We were upgraded to apartment which did have a fridge and a coffee machine, but we did need to buy filter papers and coffee from local supermarket. Shampoo and bars of soap supplied but nothing else. Breakfast does not change at all but there is plenty of it. We would use this hotel again and would recommend it to others, it is a superb base for a short stay in Iceland.

We had an studio apartment so we could self cater if we wanted. The kitchenette is basic with just 2 hot plates but was enough to do basic snacks. The room was huge, comfortable and warm. The hotel is very centrally located and can be a little noisey but rather that than being a 20 minute walk from town as some others were. Breakfast was simple and the same every day, but great to set you up for the day. Would recommend and would stay there again if we returned.

We have just returned home after 3 nights at Hotel Fron and we were really impressed with the hotel and it's friendly staff. Our room was spacious and had a large fridge, sink and kitchen equipment. The breakfast selection was really good and open for a great 3 hour period. I actually managed to accidentally leave my iPhone when checking out today but having phoned from the airport the Hotel had it safely stored and will post it back to me in England. Really impressed and would definitely recommend.

We were upgraded to an apartment with a kitchenette without requesting it.
Always clean, staff friendly.
Great central location.
Bars are noisy till 5am so maybe good to request room at back of property if you would be bothered by noise.

Room Tip: Ask for back of hotel if you prefer less noise.

I've just come back from a stay in this hotel - the hotel is in a perfect location and the room was lovely, we didn't expect an apartment, I thought we had just booked a room. The beds are really comfortable and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast is simple but nice. Just had a small problem with the key cards not working but the reception staff fixed this straight away. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The room was basic but clean and with one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced in a Hotel (but I guess you don't go to Reykjavik in the winter to sleep anyway) The young man on reception, named 'August' couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre and the bus depot. We loved it there and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Room Tip: We were in a room 102 away from the main building so it was totally quiet and peaceful
