The building of the Icelandic parliament is certainly nice, but it is so small that one could easily miss it as it is not as powerful as parliament buildings usually are. I especially liked the garden on the other side and took some nice pictures despite of the pouring rain.

It's not open to the public without making prior arrangements with the goverment office first. Disappointing.

This has such an interesting history but if you don't know what you're looking for it's easy to miss! It's worth reading about it before you visit to get a real idea of why this place is important.

This is located in a very nice part of the city, in a cute square just in front of the city pond and across the street from Domskirkja.
It is beautifully designed with a beautiful stone facade. Definately worth having a break here and taking in the history.

Well I drive past there a couple of times a week and it is a modest old building, that may actually bee seen as a shrine for Democracy wherever you come from.
