This was a great place to stay, friendly and small-scale. The rooms were great - we stayed in the Junior Suite, and the location was ideal - the harbour and town were minutes away. I told them we were there for my husband's 50th birthday and chocolates and strawberries appeared in the room later that day. They decorated our table for dinner beautifully that night, and brought his pudding out with candles lit (at my request). The restaurant was expensive but no more so than anywhere else and the food and service were excellent.
Take time to visit the Settlement 871 +/-2 exhibition underneath the hotel: archaeology brought into the 21st century, even our 13 year old lad was engaged!
Listen out for the samba-band protestors in front of the government building up the road!More
