We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with our experience. We got there early, but the onsite manager let us go ahead and check in, which was a huge help. We were on the 3rd floor and had a little view of the water. There was a bed area, sitting area, small kitchen with an island and a bathroom.
The apt had been recently renovated with an updated bathroom and kitchen. The bed was on a raised floor with a little rock type area to cross to climb into the bed. While this looks really nice, it's quite painful in bare feet or when crawling on your knees to get to the bed. The bed fills the whole section that it's in, so these are your only options. The bed was just the mattress, no box spring, so we found it to be a bit firm.
The kitchen as nicely equipped including a coffee maker. The living area had a nice sized couch and tv with lots of channels. The room was pretty quiet given that we were in the enter of town. There are parking spaces around back, but I don't know if there were enough if the apartments were full. We were fortunate enough to have one our entire time there.
Now, location. This is what really makes this apartment. We went down the steps and out the back, then turned right. Walked about 10 yards and, bam, there we were on the main street!! Go to the right to go up along all the shops, go left to get to the bars, restaurants and down to the water. If we wouldn't have been heading out to see the rest of the island, I don't know if we would have even needed the car. You really are right in the center of the action. We walked to dinner every night, got up in the morning and found a nice bakery for breakfast, then just strolled around the shops after doing the golden circle. There are so many places to check out.
Even with being in town, the room was quiet at night. Being on the third floor, it did get a little warm and we opened a window. While it was quiet, it was a little light for us. The sun does set in May, but it never got completely dark. This was something we struggled with on the trip. But, since that was the biggest complaint from our trip, we'll take it! We did take sleeping masks, but it was still difficult to sleep.
So, if you're looking for a great location with lots of conveniences, this is a good place to look into. We would stay here again.
