Very modern and decent location. Far from main venues but well located non the less. Reception is efficient and rooms large and confortable. A very commendable Hilton. Prices are a bit expensive for the services. Only negative comment is the charge to use the gym and spa.

We stayed here only one night on our way to New York. Hotel is clean, modern and scandinavian style decorated. Bed and bedlinen were very good, hotel is big and has great views into the mountains and sea (if weather and windows are clear).

It is Hilton in all terms; does not offer any special Icelandic experiences, but offers quiet, good room and facilities to stay. Especially for groups and business.

We had to book 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, since they could not put all of us in same room with extra bed, even if the rooms were very spacious. Plenty of room for even 2 king size beds.

Breakfast was very good and offered also some local specialities.
Little too far from city center, especially if the weather is not good (like it often isn´t there), so taxi trip is needed both ways. Buses can be used as complimentary, if you want to walk around the bloc and wait in the rain.

Would recommend if you are looking for clean, safe, easy and confident choise. Hotel is expensive as everything is in Iceland.

Room Tip: Any rooms on seaside are great.

Stayed here for a 3 night trip to Iceland. The hotel is lovely, just what you'd expect from a Hilton. The views from the front of the hotel are breathtaking! The hotel is located out of the town centre, but you are able to get a free bus pass from the hotel to use the local buses - these stop right outside the hotel and are really easy to use (takes 5-10 mins to town).

The staff are excellent and are really helpful. Breakfast is well worth the cost and I would certainly recommend it if you're doing a lot of sight seeing as Iceland itself is quite expensive. The hotel was very busy (fully booked pretty much) whilst we were there and the staff at breakfast times did seem a bit hassled, but the food was good which was the main thing.

If you're going on day trips most collect you direct from the hotel and drop you back.

There are a couple of supermarkets directly behind the hotel too, and the staff in there are also great and as soon as they hear English are happy to chat away and tell where to go and wish you a great holiday.

If you walk up the street, away from the town, there is also a row of shops/restaurants; these always seemed busy so must have been good.

I would certainly return to Iceland and the HIlton Nordica.

My stay at this hotel was through an Iceland Air package. This hotel is new, clean and modern. The front desk service is exceptional. And the room are nicely designed, with great water pressure and all the usual amenities you'd expect including a mini-bar fridge. The only downside is the distance from the downtown. It is walkable and the hotel has a complimentary bus pass.

Got a great deal with Icelandic Air and the Hilton from Seattle so hard to beat. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Service is good. Hotel is away from the main downtown area but a nice 15 minute walk or take one of several buses for free using the pass they lend you at the front desk. A few good restaurants within walking distance. There is a public sports complex with outdoor pool and tubs within walking distance which was wonderful and affordable and you feel like you really experience the culture. All tour buses and airport transport stops here. The tour desk was helpful and friendly. Will take advantage of the annual special again next year. We one free breakfast-the next day it will cost you about $35 USD-you can do better in town but it is expensive to eat everywhere.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel has the view, back is a parking lot. All rooms seem quite small.

People are incredibly helpful especially to the crazy amount of tourists constantly asking the front desk if they can point them towards the Northern Lights! The rooms are great, the exec lounge is well appointed and maintained, the location works, gym is perfect and best of all no hassle parking! The staff had a good local understanding and do an admirable job juggling the gamut of tourists, business travellers and romantic couples!

Excellent hotel. The room service was perfect. I highly recommend upgrading to the executive suites on the top floor, it really does make a difference. However there's no point in paying extra for the sea view, as the mountain view is lovely also, and you can see the sea view from the executive lounge the floor below. The staff are very knowledgeable and the tourist desk in the hotel is good too. The Spa, floor 2, is incredible, and the free head and neck massage isn't bad either, especially since it's every 20 minutes or so. The location is not far from the centre, although it's a long walk. The taxi costs around £10 to get from the hotel to the harbour, but the hotel offer free bus travel, providing you pay a deposit for the card. I would definitely return to this hotel again, should I be in that area. Unfortunately there is no swimming pool, but the Gym and Spa facilities make up for this.

Room Tip: Sea view is nice, although if you can upgrade, upgrade to the 9th floor executive suites. Then you...
