We stayed in the hotel for four nights and it was perfect for our group. It is definitely a business hotel but we stayed there for vacation and it was great. Extremely clean and friendly staff, and close to downtown.

We opted for a 2 night/2breakfast/2 dinner package for our stay in Iceland. Based on our first 24 hrs, I would rate this hotel a 6 out of 5! The room was perfect, as was the view (ask for a higher floor with a water view). VOX restaurant provided the best breakfast selections we've ever had at a Hilton (regardless of how full you are, you should not leave without trying their flavoured Skyr and Danishes). Dinner offers dining at it's finest (do make a reservation, and request the fireplace side of the restaurant as it greatly enhances the atmosphere!) The lamb and the food presentation was superb! Unfortunately, the second 24 hours of our stay were less favourable (we experienced the extreme rudeness of one front desk person ( which normally would have been a deal breaker for future stays at any hotel, but this time was offset by the pleasantness of 2 others and was dealt with by the manager). We also had the misfortune of a restaurant mixup that came close to ruining our vacation (with time this was also dealt with by the hotel manager as per Hilton's guarantee to fix any problems with a stay). Despite the issues with the second half of our stay, we really feel this Hilton met every expectation to live up to it's name; and is effectively managed to deal with any problems that arise. Housekeeping staff were friendly, and we received exceptional service from Thorir & Katrin at the front desk, as well as Tomas & Kor in the restaurant). Overall, we feel this hotel deserves a 5/5!

We were in Reykjavik and stayed at the Hilton for 4 nights. The hotel was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and relaxing. We had two twin beds that were pushed together to make a King size bed. The furnishings were modern and up to the quality you would expect for a Hilton property. We did have several breakfasts at the hotel and found the buffet very good. They had the usual buffet items, plus wonderful fresh baked breads. We also enjoyed trying the Skyr for breakfast. In the evening, we were pleased with the bar service as we relaxed with a glass of wine.
The hotel staff were pleasant and always helpful. We were able to get a pass to ride the public transportation into the city. That was a nice perk. Looking up at the winding staircase in the lobby is a great photo!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the hotel were very nice. They had a nice view of water and mountains.

This hotel is a great facility. The food is great with large variety of everything. I would stay there the next time I am in this area. It is very clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom is large also.

Room Tip: I was there twice and both times I had a very nice room

Stayed in an executive room on the 9th floor, ( 9 floors in total) without a view. Spacious room and quiet.Comfortable bed and linens were good quality too. Fridge in the room which is always handy plus the usual tea and coffee facilities.
Bar pleasant but pricey - but provided a quick and lovely sandwich for 3 of us as about to board a bus - good service, helpful and pleasant staff.
Breakfast was always busy - usual good range of food one would expect from the Hilton Group.
The executive lounge on the 8th floor was worth the extra money as gave us somewhere quiet to relax and had excellent views of the sea. ( However it was very, very warm and could do with some fans.) Had a lovely fireplace and would be very cosy in winter.
Spa - hot tubs were great after a long day sight seeing, but close at 8pm prompt. The neck massage was painful/good/eased my aching neck. Gym looked well equipped but didn't use it.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views. The executive lounge on the 8th floor was worth the extra money as...

Very comfortable rooms, quiet and clean. Near to Kringla shopping mall and just 35 min walk to city centre. Superb breakfast and top service. Just a positive ecxperience. Nice and cheap restaurants in the street to the right of the hotel.

Room Tip: Room with a view at front of the hotel at higher floors.

Have stayed at this property 3 times now on family vacations. We like that it is not right downtown, is close to the zoo/family park, and within a short walk of the Laugardalslaug pool. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Be sure to get a harbor view room. The last time the WIFI was unreliable in our room. If you want to eat dinner at VOX, be sure to make reservations well in advance as they frequently have large groups.
