The guesthouse is centrally located, right by the harbor and in close proximity to several supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, and shops. For people travelling without a car it would be reasonable to roll your suitcase from the ferry to the guesthouse.

Our room with private bathroom was quite large, very clean, recently renovated, bright, and comfortable with a good view of the Eldfell and Helgafell volcanic cones. The free Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The continental breakfast selection reflected the Icelandic standard and pricing was rather good value compared to similar accommodations in Iceland during the peak summer season.

The staff we encountered was friendly and helpful, but the reception desk is not staffed most of the time, although a phone number is provided to reach someone if assistance is needed. The guesthouse does not operate an in-house restaurant.

Great location adjacent to the ferry terminal and local supermarkets and restaurants. Very quiet. Very clean. Big rooms. Good buffet breakfast with lots of selection. Helpful receptionist. No complaints.

We stayed for one night early August 2016 and it was definitely the best accommodation of our Iceland trip. Large rooms, very quiet yet very central. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommended

We stayed for three nights. Our room on the second floor was quite large, clean, and very pleasant. We also saw that they have a large number of Japanese-style "compartment hotel" beds, but we didn't try these out! (They are apparently imported from China). The service is very friendly and helpful, and the prices reasonable for Iceland (that is, expensive). There is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.

We stayed here for two nights and were pleased with all aspects of the guesthouse. The staff were pleasant and efficient, offering to help in all aspects of our visit. The included breakfast buffet was ample with fresh-baked breads, juices, fruit, meat cheese, cereal and other foods all available. the rooms were large with comfortable beds and bedding. We could walk to restaurants, postoffice, museum, tour companies, in just a few minutes. We highly recommend

Room Tip: We stayed in 204 and 304, identical in size and furnishings
