Einar and his family offer a nice experience with a beautiful room and great location. The facility where we stayed appeared new and modern and was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and offered in a relaxing, open space. Unfortunately the in-room WiFi was not operational but did work in the public lounging area.

Very nice accommodations in a beautiful part of Sólheimarjökul valley. Nice sized rooms and a good kitchen/eating space. Only complaint is there weren't enough spoons for my group of twelve! Aside from that, good bathroom facilities and friendly staff.

If I could find a word that might summarize my experience with this hotel, it would be "enchanting". The view from my window could not have been better. This hotel is located in a very good place if you are travelling around southern Iceland. Its proximity to Vik, makes it a very appropriate place to rest or to spend one or two nights. There, I felt at home. I liked the breakfast and the staff were all very friendly. Like everything else in Iceland the cost is high, nevertheless it has good fees compared to other hotels. Do not hesitate to stay at this hotel if you are making the Southern Ring!

We stopped off here for one night. Good value for a big room in a separate building. Modern bathrooms and WCs. Sharing wasn't s problem. Big kitchen area if you want to cook. A 20 min drive to Vik but handy for glacier walking.
Breakfast was taken in the main house and was average. Cereal and toast. Would have liked some yoghurt and maybe banana. The cut apple pieces were brown and we were very early to breakfast.
Probably would try and find somewhere a bit nearer to Vik if we were to go again. Not bad though, just not our favourite stop.

We stoped here on the way to ice caving and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I loved it! Clean, quiet, bright, amazing kitchen, friendly, all around great experience! They even have little sinks and blow dryers right in your room. You really feel like you are living in a real Icelandic home.
