Great food, and piping hot (which in my experience is rare with parties of this size in smaller establishments). Let us have a room to ourselves which was great. Thanks to all!

Old favourites mixed with interesting specials which changed regularly. Nice wine list - all available by the glass.

We haven't been here for a while but after spending the morning at Slimbridge we called in again for lunch.

Today we wanted something cheaper so had the basket meals (scampi and chips and 1/2 a chicken and chips). Both meals were good and the food was hot.

It's nice to return somewhere and find the food as good as the last time.

Great welcome, great food food and ale!! There were 19 of us and the service was as good as if it was just 2 people. Variety of menu and quality of food makes this a great place to eat. We will be back

Visited on Mother's Day as a party of 7 (including 2 children) before a visit the the WWT. Unfortunately our visit did not start well as we hadn't been informed when booking that we would only have access to a restricted menu for Mother's Day, and went downhill when there wasn't anything particularly inviting to me on this menu. Most of our party chose a roast (lamb, beef and turkey) which they described as 'not the best and not the worst'. My vegetable lasagne was extremely oily, I ended up mopping it up with a napkin and my husband's burger was cold and bland in a cheap roll. The children did enjoy their fish fingers though! Service was reasonable and food was delivered within 20 mins of ordering which was fine. Overall a disappointing visit as i had been looking forward to some of the ordinary menu items - but i don't think i'll risk another visit!
