Spent a week in Elaine's apartment in Gharb March 2014. The apartment is clean quiet and comfortable with everything you need. Elaine is very gracious and helpful. Gozo is a peaceful little paradise, don't miss Comino though.

“A lovely, peaceful place.”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had a really chilled week, without the children, on Gozo. What a beautiful, peaceful place. Apartment was really nice and we made full use of the pool and terrace too. Very hot in August so will probably go back in Easter or half term breaks. Plenty of activities if that is your bag but a great place to recharge your batteries.

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean well appointed apartment. Use of a pool. Friendly helpful neighbours. In a lovely village. Close to beaches and sights. Loved Gozo.
Highly recommended apartment.

“Peaceful, local and nicely appointed apartment”
Reviewed 18 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

I had a lovely week here, and used it as a base to explore the whole island. It was easy to get around from Gharb on the local buses, even in the evenings if I wanted to eat out, and I felt safe as a single visitor at all times- the Gozitans are friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and tidy- as was the patio and swimming pool at the rear of the building and I enjoyed my time on the small but sunny balcony watching the world go slowly by! I feel the apartment would be a little snug for 4, but ideal for one or two.

“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 9 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Spent 10 great nights in lovely, hot Gozo. The appartment was perfect for us, it had everything we needed (-even guide books about Gozo and herbs/spices for our cooking!), was very clean and has good bus connections to Victoria. There is a small shop just round the corner and a slightly bigger one a short walk away. Gharb is a nice village, away from all the tourist places. The Azure Windown, Blue Hole and the Dwerja Inland Sea are just a 30 min walk away (we could have walked probably faster if the weather wasn't so hot...). The whole island is easily explored by bus.

“A lovely apartment for a couple”
Reviewed 11 September 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We honeymooned here. It's delightfully local - no other tourists in the apartment block, which meant great use of the (very deep) pool and terrace. Gharb is great. Beautiful restaurant called Jeffreys, and lovely walks up the local hill overlooking the cathedral.
It's also only 10 mins drive from Victoria, and similar to the Azure window and a pile of other attractions. Or you can just sit by the pool with a book from the well-stocked bookshelf.
Kitchen is well kitted out, and we didn't miss not having an oven. The bathroom is lovely.
All in all, clean, quiet and comfortable,
The only downside(s) were a lack of air con (we had a bit of a heatwave on top of july temperatures and a couple of toasty nights), and a slightly creaky bed ;)

Enjoyed a great week in Gharb and disagree about needing a car; reliable bus-service hourly; had hire bikes delivered for free; and less than 2 miles walk to the Inland Sea ... if you drive you miss so much! (And three local attractions right on the doorstep; the amazing baroque church, the folklore museum, and the Basilica.) The apartment had everything needed - although maybe take ear plugs if you're not an early riser as the church bells, the tractors and mobile shop men all start about 7am! But the back garden, with small, clean pool was the ideal place for a siesta if you woke earlier than intended. A really unspoilt village with beautiful countryside; I'll definately be back.
