A sense of comfort and security. We normally spend vacations in hotels, but this trip has really changed our minds on what we enjoy. We flew with Ryanair to Malta, rented a car from Avis and drove up the ferry terminal to cross over to Gozo. We then sent text message to the managing agents who met us in Victoria and showed us the way to “Dream Catcher”. Once there we were able to park in a private garage under the apartment building. We took the lift to the 5th floor and even though we had seen pictures on the website we were thrilled by how nice the apartment is.
The agents Charlene and Clayton, who are really helpful, showed us how everything worked and assured us they were always available if we had any problems. We went onto the huge terrace and could not believe how spacious it was. Time for bed and woke up to a beautiful morning. The kitchen was brand new with all you need including Washing machine, Dishwasher, Microwave, Oven, Halogen Hob and loads of crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is a Stereo, TV and DVD player with loads of movies.
There is instant hot water and 3 new air conditioning units, and excellent high speed WiFi.
The crowning glory is certainly the wrap round terrace with great views over the bay and the fantastic spa which was all to ourselves and quite private. The outside furniture includes sun beds, dining table with chairs, sofa armchairs and coffee table.
We did some self-catering, but there are loads of great value restaurants literally a few minutes’ walk away. There are a couple of small well stocked supermarkets nearby, but parking a little difficult. Just around the corner is a very good fruit and veg stall. This said, there is an amazing Lidl supermarket with good parking in Victoria about 6km away, and even a good sized Waitrose in the Arkadia centre.
There is a small beach, and further access to the sea around the bay. The sea is very clean and a great temperature. If you want a lovely large sandy beach go to Ramla under 15 minute drive away, but best to get there early.
Gozo is a quiet island, very safe, unspoiled and the people there are very friendly. We really recommend it and will certainly return back to Dream C
