“A litle gem of a hotel”
Reviewed 26 October 2008

This hotel was taken over at the begining of 2008 and I must say they're doing a wonderful job.

The staff are very friendly, helpfull and knowledgable about the area. I spent a week at the hotel at the begining of October and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Gozo.

Stayed in this hotel for a week in july 2007. We were so happy with this hotel that we have booked same hotel for 2008, when we're going back to Gozo.

Very central location in Marsalforn, in general, not just to the see. The hotel is situated in the second block from the see. Only a very short walk to jump into the water. The best thing is that you can choose between a sandy beach, or the pier. This was very convenient, and great for us as it was 35-40°C when we stayed here.

Another good thing in hot periodes, is that the hotel has got good airconditioning. (Actually, two in our room.) When we didn't manage to stay outdoors any more about noon, we went back to the room to cool down. Great!!! This is the main reason why we go back to the same hotel, because we know it might be hot this time as well.

Breakfast was poor. Almost the same every day. Light bread with cheese, some sort of salami-like thing, one or two jams, and some cereal-stuff. Milk was of course hot, just as everything else. ;) (Didn't blame them for that, though, in the heat.)

Beachview is a little hotel, with the same staff every day. This was also one of the things we liked about it, not so many other guests there, so it was calm.

We were told that our room had a balcony, but this was a great disappointment. It kind of had, but it was glass-windows all around it, so even when you went out on the balcony, you were still inside. And in the sun and heat, it was actually impossible to sit here!

Hotel has a small restaurant on top of the building, with an ok view. We didn't try it, so don't know how the food was. (We didn't eat here because it took some time before we found out about it. But we sat here some days at the end, and had some drinks.)

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, this goes straight to Victoria, capital of Gozo, think it was quite often, we didn't have to wait for long as I remember it. (But it didn't always come when it should after the time schedule, though.)

Room was ok, nothing fancy. Basic. Bathroom was poor, a bit old. Showercurtain (not wall), and it was small. No shelfs in there, so bit difficult to place our stuff. But otherwise room was ok, and cleaning was good.

  • Liked — Airconditioning that acually works, and good! And the location.
  • Disliked — Breakfast.
