“Nice house that with some improvement might be way better”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

House was in a good condition and also information left for us very helpful. Francies was very kind and also help us to get medicine for my son. Public transport bus stops are almost next to the enterance to the property. Beside all the good things there are a few needs to be also improved.
Ground floor toilet needs to be fixed. Toalete flush doesn't work properly. During our stay we challenge problem with the fridge and freezer. We have to throw away a part of our food.
Due 9 days of our stay bedding was not changed which should happen at least once.
Wi-fi access was poor and needs some adjustment but we used open wifi from the neighbor (Probably same one who have a barking dogs ;)
This is a nice house for a group of friends travelling together, looking for a fun with barbeque next to the swimming pool, but I would not recommend to someone who is looking for a peaceful quiet place.

Best Regards
Wojciech

“Cool, spacious retreat from the August heat”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We visited Ta Nenu with our five year old, and it was the first time we had been forced to travel in peak season. Luckily the temperature was about 28 - 32 degrees most of the time we were there, though apparently it can reach 40. We were so glad to have air conditioning, which we used as sparingly as possible, but it made all the difference. The pool was also great for our little boy, who spent a lot of time in it, very happily.

Ta Nenu is spacious and clean, and well located in terms of transport if, like us, you do not want to hire a car. We did find the road it is on to be busier than we expected, but the upside of that is that the bus to Ramla stops more or less outside the door!

A couple of tips: if you arrive on a Sunday as we did, at about 5pm, none of the shops in Xaghra will be open, so you will need to do a detour to Victoria. Also, we took our own portable blackout blind just in case, and we were glad we did, as our son has a horrible habit of waking at 5am unless the room he's in is reasonably dark. We were glad we had it with us (though he still woke too early!!)

Lastly, Frances the housekeeper deserves a special mention. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even posted some clothes back to the UK that we'd left behind!

“Great location”

Recently spent one week stay in this lovely farmhouse. Great location near shops, bus stops and only a few minutes walk from the main square. Bronwyn was great to deal with and provided good information; also organised our transfer. Frances the caretaker lives nearby and welcomed us when we arrived early morning; she also sorted out a few minor issues we had. House is spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the air conditioning in the bedrooms is very effective. Would recommend this property for anyone who wants to have some time out in Xaghra

“Wonderful holiday rental, would recommend”
Reviewed 14 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

What a lovely house, just right for a family holiday, very clean and modern but with a touch of Malta to the decorations. The rental is easy big enough for a family of four and is situated on a small side street, the garage is a big plus for parking the car, the pool is great for cooling off in and a nice change as we went sea swimming every day. lots of clean towels and bedding, and access to a washing machine if you need it. Also a roof terrace which has fab views, was lovely to sit out at night and look at the stars but also you can dry your swim wear for the next day. Its an easy ten min stroll to the town centre where you will find lots of friendly places to eat that suited all our tastes from pizza only teenagers to sea food varieties we had never tried. We had a great holiday, loads to do on Gozo, and we will come back and stay again. The transfers were made easy by the owners giving us clear advice regarding car rental, ferry travel and finding the house. This all made a smooth, stress free holiday.

“Lovely rustic house with everything you need for a comfortable stay”
Reviewed 23 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My wife and I spent 5 days here in Mid October.

Booking and communication with the owner, Bronwyn, was easy and we were met at the house from the caretaker, Frances who lives across the road if you ever need anything.

The house itself is nice and big with high ceilings. It is on a main road, if you can call it a main road as the streets in sleepy Xaghra are very narrow. There is a bus stop right outside which is handy although don't rely too much on the bus times as they may be up to 10 mins early or late as we found out.

Wifi is very reliable.

The pool is lovely for a dip and the pool area got the sun from 11:30 until 16:00. I'm not sure if this is different slightly in the summer months. The roof area obviously gets the sun all day and gives you views all over Gozo.

The lovely Ramla bay is a very short drive away, walk 10 mins in to the square for drinks and food. Sam the butcher is next to the church where we got some tasty steaks and sausages for the BBQ. There is also a great small supermarket on the way to the square, you will see signs and can't miss it. It has everything you really need for your stay.

We loved our stay at Ta Nenu. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it needs a bit of maintenance i.e: a few broken sun loungers, blocked drains around pool area, broken flush button and damp in the toilet areas and a good spring clean......but remember this is a fantastic property for the money you pay!

We would stay here again :)

Had a great few days in Gozo, leaving on 3rd October. The house is great. Frances and Bronwyn have been really helpful with our minor qwerks. There were 6 of us so we had a big van which was fun parking, however if you keep the garage door open then you always have a space. Towels, bedding etc all great and if you are her next week we have left some supplies, chocolate spread, sugar, tea, coffee etc.

“A very good holiday !”
Reviewed 1 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This farmhouse is an excellent place to to retreat to for a holiday. We had a lot of fun staying here and are sure to return. Bronwyn and Frances are really helpful when it comes to booking and also provided us with various grocer locations from where one can buy his/her daily needs. The farmhouse is equipped with almost everything and is clean. There are however a few things that need attention:
1. There are few kitchen utensils like big pots, which was a big drawback when we had to cook.
2. The noises from the street were a bit disturbing at times.
