“Wonderful stopover for your first night in France”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

Clos du Quesney was easy to find and the greeting from Sabine was very warm.
The ground floor room with the walk in shower, was ideal for my wife, who being disabled, was able to freshen up and pretty much see to herself.
The evening meal and breakfast was very nice

4 of us cycled from Dieppe along the AV, staying at Le Clos du Quesnay for one night and then cycled back. This B&B was everything we needed - hot showers, great welcome, comfy beds, and a very enjoyable and tasty in-house evening meal with our hosts and 10 other guests. Lots of good bike storage and a great breakfast as well. We cycled there through Forges Les Eaux but the main roads to LCduQ aren't very bike friendly. Instead, turn off the AV at the D102 Treforet and take the D102 country lanes through Le Bagageot, Le Mesnil D'Oyen and Ronderelles en Bray, then the D21 Route de Roncherolles south. There is a back entrance to LCduQ just before it meets the busy D919. We met almost no traffic when we used this route to get back to the AV.

My wife and I stopped only one night. As seasoned drivers from Calais to Limoge, Samoens in the French Alps, Geneva and Spain we can honestly say that Le Clos du Quesnay is far and away the best overnight stop we have made on our way back to the Chunnel. Sabine and Jean- Francois treated us like old friends immediately on arrival. Our ground floor room was perfect. My wife is disabled so the Reinette du Canada was perfect for us, roomy, easy to move around with a large "wet room" type shower with no baths to climb in and out of.
Dinner in the evening was 5 courses (28 euros each), included aperitif's and wine with each course. Everything was locally sourced and home cooked, it was truly amazing.
We were dining with 12 other guests, all French, and with our smattering of "Franglais" it all seemed a bit daunting, however, we needn't have worried. We were placed right in the centre of the table adjacent to couples with a little English. It was obvious that our hosts had organised the seating just before we got to the dining room. We were made welcome by everyone and we had a great time. Dinner lasted from 8pm to 11pm!!
The breakfast spread was incredible. All home made breads, pastries and conserves etc.
We were sorry to leave, but will definitely be back.

We sadly only stayed one night at Le Clos du Quesnay but it was wonderful. We had a very large room which was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The hosts Jean-Francois and Sabine are amazing people and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had an evening meal with them which was superb and the breakfast was like a banquet! We would highly recommend this place and it is well positioned to explore Normandy.

We have recently returned from a brief visit to Normandy where, with several other friends, we stayed at Le Clos du Quesnay. No one was disappointed our welcome from the moment we arrived until our departure two days later was excellent. Jean-Francios and Sabine take great pride in what they have achieved in creating a lovely location to stay whether visiting this beautiful part of Normandy or just passing through. All the rooms are well appointed and exceedingly comfortable, for something really different the gypsy caravans are both accommodating and fun particularly for the family. The best has to to said of the magnificent breakfast table adorned with home made breads, jams fruit grown by the family....not to be missed. Outstanding quality and great value.

Stayed in one of the gipsy Caravans for 4 nights - tremendous
Wonderful hosts, great hospitality and suggestions for trips. Nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was superb.
Dinner taken on 2 of 4 nights was great.
19 French/Dutch/Brits/Belgians sitting around the big dining table with a log fire and generous wine and aperitifs - all in Europe together now.
I feel like hosts Jean-Francoise and Sabine are now real friends, would hate to think my wife and I will never visit again. I have stayed in a lot of B&B's .. best ever

Room Tip: Other guests seemed to like their large rooms, we wanted to try the Gypsy caravans and they were gre...

This place has to be France's best kept secret! A most beautiful place to rest, relax and recuperate and to enjoy the finest Normandie cuisine and the very best of French hospitality.

This was our 2nd time here and if anything it was even better than the first time! Sabine's cooking is good enough to grace a top restaurant and Jean-Francois's repartee is excellent, given English is not his first language.

The bedrooms are beautiful and the environment is so relaxing.

Now any qualms you may have about enjoying an evening meal with the hosts should be cast aside - it is the highlight of the "Clos du Quesnay" experience!

Frankly, neither my wife nor myself can wait to go back! As others have written, the hosts quickly become more than just hosts - they become your friends!

Room Tip: ALl the ones we have seen and slept in are great!
