Loved it! As you will if you love all things gruesome and macabre. The creators looked like they had fun making it as realistic as possible.

However, it's also a fascinating insight into how Malta has been continually colonised, exploited and fought over, and what its people have had to endure over the centuries, which is shocking in itself. Good value and worth a visit if you're not faint-hearted.

Came here in early April. Before visiting I was wondering how much it would cost but when we arrived it was a nice surprise it was only 4 euros. In the UK they would probably have it at double that. I was also surprised that you could take photos because you probably couldn't in the UK. So yeah over all it is a great little visit

Not for young children, It's interesting to see and read about the crime and punishments of times gone by. People were so cruel. Several gruesome ways to inflict pain and torture.

Dungeons within the city wall showing different types of torture and punishment from the past. Many full sized models, very lifelike; recorded explanations as you move from area to area. Allow about 45mins. At 4 euros, first class value.

This was the first attraction that you might come across on the visit to Mdina. You may be tempted to see this immediately, however I would suggest you hold on. There is not a lot to see in the dungeon. Essentially it showcases the various torture techniques that were used in the city during different periods, using a series of signposts and mannequins. There is nothing otherwise special about the "dungeon", which is just a series of chambers in the basement.

If you are looking to use a toilet facility (and thought to buy a ticket to get in), there is actually free toilet right outside the city gate (on the right hand side).

For a little bit more (5 euros), you can get in the St. Paul's Grottos, Catacombes, and the Museum at Rabat, which is a LOT great value!
