We arrivef on a bus ride from Sliema and stayed for about an hour. The history of tje building is incredible. The artwork inside is world class. A bit of peace and quiet in a bustling town.

This beautiful church is well worth a visit. With its glorious dome, peace and reverence it's a lovely place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle. The miracle of Mosta is one story not to be missed.

My partner and I visited this church a few days ago. Looking up from the church floor to the dome above is breathtaking. It is not our first visit but we are drawn back to Mosta Church time and again. A must place to visit when staying in Malta

An imposing church with a rotunda dome that can be seen for miles around (one of the largest free-standing domes in Europe), the church of St Mary in Mosta is well worth a detour or a stop on a trip. Impressive external architecture, beautiful inside, the spectacular dome and a "miracle" all in one. The "miracle" is the well known story of the WWII bomb dropped during one of the thousands of air raids on Malta which penetrated the domed roof but failed to explode whist a service, attended by some 250 people, was in progress. A replica and memorial stand in the Sanctuary. A very good experience and only €2.

Mosta Church is one of the most beautiful free standing rotunda in the world. It is dedicsted to the Assumption of Saint Mary. This monument took 25 years to be built and during the second world wsr a bomb pierced the dome and miraculiously did not explode or kill anyon.e. This church is very well kept, there is an ongoing project to maintain it, to preserve it to its original state. The church celebrates the feast of St Mary on the 15th August, but preparations to celebrate this feast begins months before. The church will be decorated from the inside as well as outside. The village feast is spectacular in itself. The three main seasons to visit would be either in august, december for christmas and Good Friday week leading to Easter.
