“Make sure you check the timetable!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

This was fun - open topped bus, cheesy commentary and a pretty good day out... only problem for us was that on a Sunday (shaded blue on the timetable), buses stopped at 230pm - end result at 4pm, we were stranded in Mdina!

Arriva was our friend so we got back to Valletta then Bugibba on two public buses for 6 Euros total for four people.

We therefore only saw half the route - partially our fault - but really? On a Sunday, a tourist bus stops running early?

We (a group of five) got on the bus at Spinola bay. The first strange thing that happened was that they would not let us buy all 5 on a single ticket, but gave us 2, One for 2 persons and one for 3. The first one had to be additionally paid at the bus when getting to Sliema. I guess this was for some internal (agent) reason, but it definitely did not help the customer experience. Somehow (very windy day, maybe the ticket just blew away like some headdresses we saw disappear over the side of the bus) one of the tickets got lost. being in Mdina at the time (and pretty unlikely to want to take only half of the tour from Mdina to Sliema) we tried to reason with the driver but got nowhere (he was also pretty rude to other passengers about "this is not a picnic bus!" when someone tried to board with a sandwich). After a long discussion he called his boss who reiterated "no ticket - no go" and that driver get fined lots of money if there is a control and some passenger does not have a ticket. All of that is obviously company policies and individual drivers are not to blame for those (only the rudeness of it all).

So with a company with this approach to customer service i will have to recommend going with the other operator. malta is definitely worth seeing, and with better customer service.

“The salesman pushed me!”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We were group of friends (8 of us) and we wanted to take the Gozo and Comino Blue Lagoon tour. We paid the whole amount and got the receipt already for the tour (which was the next day) and waited for the shuttle bus to pick us up the next morning.

So they came on time and arrived the port early in the morning and we found out that there's no private ferry (which is included in the payment) taking us to Gozo due to bad weather, and asked us to talk the public ferry instead where we had to pay the ticket at our own expenses. They could've told us in the beginning before picking us up at the hotel. So we wanted the refund and we had to chase the salesman apparently to get the refund as we don't want to take the tour with them anymore. It was 40 mins journey to the beach where we bought it and found the salesman and ask for a refund. He insisted and scolded us for not taking the public ferry and continue the tour. He ran to his motorcycle and I ran after him to stop him from running away, then he pushed me away (I'm a girl and how jerk this guy is to push a girl) and manage to ran without giving our money back.

Then the police came by and we report our situation and asked the company's responsibility. We somehow manage to get our money at the other side of the island (where all travelling expenses we had to pay for ourselves) and get our refund late evening.

Wasted our whole day just because of that stupid jerk.

Love Malta, sunny, interesting, full of history, nice wines, great food and spoilt for choice in accommodation . Not expensive to stay and eat there.

“Missed the Ferry to Gozo!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Our experience of this company for a day trip to Gozo was disappointing. We were picked up from our hotel by a small mini bus, only to be taken to a waiting point nearby where we had to hang around on the footpath by a busy road for over half an hour to board a larger coach. This larger coach then very slowly made its way around multiple stops to pick up other passengers, and drop passengers off to the Popeye Village. Around an hour later, we reached the Ferry Terminal, where the customer rep was extremely rude to some other passengers (the quote was: 'you have eyes right, you can see yourself.' ! Not sure what that was in relation to.) Half of the group then arrived into the ferry terminal only to find one half of our group had boarded the ferry, but the other half had missed it!!! We had to wait another 45 minutes for the next ferry. Appalling.

Once we made it into Gozo, we boarded the green bus, and then spent over half an hour getting stuck on roads due to parked cars jutting out. This gave us very little time to hop off the bus for any sightseeing at all, in fear of missing the next bus. Sometimes the bus stopped for 5-10 minutes at stops and other times zoomed right through without even stopping - haphazard at best.

Do not use this company. The competitors - City Sightseeing - may be better.
