“great location”
Reviewed 9 December 2012

We stayed at the Preluna on the 6th September for 14 nights. The hotel is in a great location for all amenities with bus stops right outside for local and tour buses. We stayed in the Preluna Towers (the newer part of the hotel). The room was spacious and clean with a fantastic sea view. The food was excellent with a good choice of different foods. The staff on the front desk were very helpful and polite and the staff in the restaurant were equally as nice. A good hotel which we would definitely go back to! Malta is a lovely place with so much to see and do. ;o)

Very clean if slightly dated hotel.I had sea view balcony room on the seventh floor which was quiet with no disturbance from road or neighbouring rooms.
Unusually large room with good size balcony.Excellent buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. I stayed at the very end of November and the Hotel was very quiet and the outside pool and leisure facilities were shut. The indoor leisure facilities were good and the gym has up to date equipment but is charged on a daily or weekly rate.
Whilst the room had satellite TV there were very limited channels only 2 news channels and one discovery channel. . Beds were comfortable but had very heavy duvets
The hotel is located very close to the main shopping area and easy walking distance and there are plenty of good reasonably priced restaurants close to the hotel.

Room Tip: Would suggest a room on upper floors and definitely sea view

The Preluna is a hotel my wife and I have used many times in the last 26 years. From the Reception, the bars, restaurant, Skyroom to the room service, there is a natural spontaneous friendliness and welcome from staff of all ages. Staff who were relatively young on our first visit are now in more senior positions and are quick to welcome back returning guests. The ability to retain staff surely indicates a hotel they are happy to work at. Restaurant food is just wonderful with an amazing variety enough to satisfy most tastes. It is reasonable to say that every taste is catered for. We will be returning in 2013.

Room Tip: Select seaview if available - all rooms well appointed and quiet.

Went to The Preluna Spa Hotel in Sliema Malta late October,we were on the 6th floor with a sea view, and we loved it,every morning and late evening we would spend time on the balcony before setting out or going to bed,.The Hotel itself was a bit dated but It was as I expected,it had character. All the staff were really friendly at all times, and the rooms were cleaned every day,the food was nice and the entertainment was ok for the time of year We went full board and we thought it was good value for the money paid.Well done to all the staff at the Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable!

It's not very often that you go on holiday and have nothing to complain about when returning home (not enough pillows etc.) but that's the case with our holiday at Preluna Hotel. We spent 10days at the end of October 2012 at Preluna. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. A decent sized seaview room which had everything you required and well serviced. Although the main season was coming to an end the choice, variety and quality of food (halfboard) was excellent and nicely presented along with friendly restaurant staff. All in all Preluna Hotel is a well situated sea front hotel which, in spite of its age, offers a high quality and excellent value for money. We have experienced several hotels in Sliema, for the future we will only choose Preluna Hotel.

I was ill when I checked into the Preluna Hotel and my first impression was one of really helpful, genuinely nice and caring staff. They seemed to have rooms available so they gave me a lovely seaview room at the front as an upgrade without me even having to ask for it.
Suffering from a stomach bug, I was not able to eat much but they bent over backwards to facilitate whatever I felt like eating whether it was a bowl of chips or a slice of toast. When you are away from home and feeling rotten, you really appreciate service like this!

Another major bonus is that there is free fast WiFi internet in all the rooms and a good choice of TV channels including movie ones.

The location is also good, close to the Sliema promenade and within walking distance of just about everything.

However, the most memorable thing about my stay here was the friendliness and kindness of the staff. Nothing was ever too much of a problem, they were flexible and went out of their way to give that little bit extra.

I would recommend the Preluna as a value-for-money hotel. I can also recommend massages in the FeelGood spa, especially the aromatherapy one!

Room Tip: Seaviews are obviously the nicest. Pick one high up as this is a busy road!
