Visited in September/Oct 13, given the most awful room with no air con and in really high temperatures. We were given a mobile air con unit that leaked and flooded water all over the floor. This went on for several days before we were finally given a decent room that was worthy of a '4* hotel'. Restaurant eating was manic with some rude senior members of staff. The food was very much of the same kind. One guest complained of red insects crawling in the weetabix which was a worry. The maids kept the rooms very clean and were most friendly. Public rooms had no air con during the evenings, making for a very uncomfortable evening with no respite from the heat. The lifts were scary and guests were quite apprehensive about using them and the lifts often broke down with guests trapped in them. During the high season the hotel seems to struggle and unable to cope with high numbers of guests. We felt unwell in the heat with no air con and unsafe in what we felt was an uncaring environment, so we paid for a flight to travel home early. No we would not return!

Room Tip: Make sure to mention working air con if this is important to you in summer heat

Visited the Preluna 1st week April and was very pleased with what was on offer.A great reception welcome and very helpful staff. The food is great and good selection and hot also the buffet very colourful and the variety is quite substantial. The room was on 8th Floor sea facing and was comfortable and clean whereas the rooms at the back seem to be going through a refurbishment. The pool is adequate as is the gym. All inclusive drinks are not branded but are just as good and the bar staff very friendly and chatty and provide a great service .The evenings entertainment , people have said is poor but It was a pleasant change to actually have local talent on show and not blasting out music but provide a background atmosphere to relax to after a long day walking ect and was quite a change and enjoyable. All in all the place is convenient to all places .I would recommend this hotel as the staff were Brilliant

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms above 5th are good

Just returned from my first stay in Malta and i would like to return to this hotel in the future. The location was great as we stayed in room 6402 which overlooked the sea.
The room was cleaned every day and we very satisfied with bed and decor.
The food at breakfast time was of a high standard and we never ever found that we could not get a table. The staff in all departments were very friendly and more than helpful

Room Tip: Try to stay in the Perluna Towers and pay the extra for a sea view

Our third time at this hotel, sea view room, and what a view, you could see the cruise ships going into grand harbour, our room was spotless and cleaned every day. As always at this hotel the staff are friendlyand always find the time to talk to you, so much choice of food and to a high standard, live entertainment most nights in the sky room. Thank s Preluna we will be back in November.

Room Tip: try to get a sea view room, It's worth it

We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel. A friend had said that she was not happy but we found no problems at all. The staff were so friendly and the food brilliant. Hotel was clean and everyone including the cleaning staff were welcoming. We are vegetarian and the chef and dining room staff were very accommodating and supplied excellent choices. We are looking forward very much to our next visit.

Room Tip: Spa not applicable to us. We had a balcony room the only drawback for us was when our neighbour deci...
