Having spent a lovely week staying at the Perluna Hotel - could not find fault other than the entertainment which, on a personal level, could have been livelier (although enjoyed listening to their resident singer). Felt it was worth the extra cost for a sea view. Enjoyed Anthony's repartee - the barman at the La Piazza Bar. He made all the guests feel welcome. Would recommend a visit to The Beach Club, which is situated across from the main entrance. Food reasonably priced - burgers tasted homemade. Staff friendly - nice, relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed at this hotel as we had stayed there for our honeymoon, and went back for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. My husband had emailed the hotel a week before to tell them that it was a special occasion. When we got to the hotel at 1am (our flight was delayed) the night porter was on. He was a little too talkative, obviously it was nice he was very friendly, but after the bad journey we'd experienced we just wanted to get to our room and settle in and go to sleep. He insisted that he bring our cases up though, and got quite annoyed when we said we wanted to take them ourselves! So we went up to the room, we were in the Preluna Towers and we had been given an upgrade because of our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. We had a 7th floor sea view room. The room was nice and very clean. The only problem we had was the air conditioning wasn't that brilliant. The hotel is lovely, but we feel it is getting a little dated now, my husband went there 35 years ago when he was little and it is still very much the same decor! We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very much up to standard and we never had to queue for a table. The pool area is also looking a little tired and it was sometimes difficult to find a sun bed. As with other reviews, watch out for the time share people. It seems to have got much worse there and they stand right outside the hotel and bother you, which is extremely annoying. All in all it was a lovely stay and it was lovely that they gave us an upgrade, but I think we would probably stay at a different more modern hotel if we went back to Malta again.

I arrived the 20th of april arround 23h30 i think.
The staff at the reception welcomed me very friendly and open. A nice contrast to the somewhat unpleasant airport arrivals terminal.
My room was on the 3rd floor with landview (their is a possibility to upgrade to a seavieuw but that was not needed for me (i use rooms to shower and to sleep, not for watching people passing by on the promenade).
During my whole stay the staff at the reception were doing everthing to feel welcome at the hotel and the Island. They advised me on busservices, ferries to Valletta and local newspaper and lot of other stuff.
The restaurant had a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. for dinner the restaurant has theme-nights (asian, italian,...) The only thing i missed at the restaurant were fries (but i'm not in Belgium :-) ).
For a drink i chose the Skyroom-bar on the topfloor of the hotel, there is a nice view and you can watch some beautiful sunsets overthere.
The indoor pool was good, but maybe the water was a little to hot to swim but great to relax.
The hotel location is excelent. There is a busstop at the hotel (you can take the bus to Valletta Bus terminal) and there is a ferry-service to Valletta nearby.

I spent some great times at malta and this Hotel is a good stay for a visit to the island.
I'm very sure that i'll return to Malta and maybe even to this hotel

Just returned from 1 weeks stay. Could not fault it. Room was good, food was excellent, staff very helpfull, facillities very good. Booked thru Travel Republic very good no problems.Other guest booked with big travel companies had complaints ie wrong room booked wrong flights,we sailed thru from Heathrow Air Malta and home again. All inclusive as we were I recommend, feel good fitness room and pool good, try the massage. All in all very satisfied and will definately go again. Only down side was touts outside trying to sign you up for holiday club membership,do not entertain them, its a con job.Turn right from hotel and try gift shop next to internet cafe, cheap prices than others,on par with Valletta market. If you have problem staff sort it no problem.

Having stayed at this hotel 4 years running since 2005, it is felt that it should be published on this programme. It is on the upmarket Sliema promenade, overlooking the Mediterranean, Bedrooms are modern and attractive with airconditioning and heating control. All public rooms are ample in size with comfortable furniture. There are 3 restaurants, one a main buffet style, another is a waitress attended up-market restaurant, another is the Tower restaurant. The food quality in all departments is good to very good. There is a warm friendly attitude shown by the staff to all visitors and hotel guests. P-FT (ackwarius)
