What a fine place to get away to get away from a miserable British winter. There was a nice sunny courtyard garden with mature orange trees, the fruit ready for the picking. A crackling log fire in the grand saloon every evening made for a country house atmosphere. Our room was kept extremely clean for the two months we were there.
Do not expect five star service, or haute cuisine, but the cooking was honest with a good choice and ample portions. A high proportion of winter guests are ones who have been before, which makes for a very sociable mix. We were made to feel at home, and hope to return.More
