The Palace in Sliema is fantastic! We stayed for 10 nights in March on honeymoon and will definitely be going back!

The hotel itself is in a residential location within walking distance of the ferry, town centre and the sea front. The staff are absolutely amazing - anything we asked for was dealt with immediately and in such a pleasant manner. It was great to stay in a hotel so welcoming with such great facilities.

The room was brilliant - spacious, comfortable, great decor and amazing technology!

Breakfast was very good - huge selection of hot and cold food, breads, yoghurt etc....simply amazing!

I still can't believe how great this hotel is. The only slightly disappointing thing in our stay was the weather which made the rooftop pool too cold to contemplate going in!

Will go back again and again

We booked this hotel having been guided by the recommendations of other Tripadvisor writers. There are so many plus points about this aspiring 5 star hotel. The location is good, the conversion of an old building (including the magnificent annex) has been tastefully done, the leisure facilities are excellent and the front desk staff are all very professional. Rooms are priced competitively and the rooftop TemptAsian restuarant has sensasional views of historic Valetta across the bay. This is a fairly newly opened hotel and there are still some teething troubles to be addressed if it is to fulfill its potential. Breakfast is fairly shambolic with young inexperienced staff badly supported by a couple of older waiters. Cleaning is not as comprehensively done as in other 5 stars and the hotel is not customer friendly in charging for private internet access or in the terrible currency exchange rate it offers. If these relatively small points are addressed it can The Palace can go on to be a truly great hotel.

This is right in the middle of a residential area, and a short walk away from the main coastline. For such a location, it's a great hotel, but felt like a 4* due to things being cramped (eg. small gym with air-con turned off, small pools - indoor pool could comfortably accommodate maybe 5 people maximum).

If you want to stay in the middle of the action, it's probably a good choice. If you want space and luxury, I'd recommend staying further out at one of the main resort hotels (as much as we all like to avoid chain hotels!) which are likely to have better and more spacious facilities.

The Palace hotel in Sliema is a great hotel in a central location. The staff are very helpful and friendly at all times. We stayed in a lovely suite which was even better than we had expected - it was huge - on two levels with a lounge/dining area and large 4 poster bed! Housekeeping at The Palace was of a very high standard.

The minibar is reasonably priced and well stocked. The hotel has a wide range of bars/restaurants and is also a 5 minute walk from the Sliema waterfront with its many bars/cafes. The ease of access to the waterfront also means that the beautiful city of Valletta is only a short boat ride away.

I would highly recommend The Palace in Sliema as excellent value for money, for a really lovely hotel...

We stayed at The Palace for 10 nights in March 2009; the boutique style deluxe hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of Sliema, just minutes away from the waterfront and the new ‘Point’ shopping complex. The hotel is finished with a mix of lovely contemporary décor, clean with modern finishes. Our room came with a spacious balcony on the 5th floor, it was spotless, roomy, modern and very reasonable priced with a pleasant view of city living and St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta in the distance.

The staff in this hotel are outstanding and attentive from checking in, to the restaurants, to housekeeping and particularly the Front Office Manager who wasted no time sorting out a restaurant service problem we had on the second night of our stay.

The Tabloid Restaurant breakfast buffet is very good with lots of variety, it also serves a la carte and the occasional buffet menu in the evening. If you have the chance don’t miss the Sunday buffet lunch, it was simple amazing, a vast choice of outstanding quality food expertly presented. Our long lunch was complimented with some fine Maltese and International wines, rounded off with superb coffee served in the adjacent Talk of Town Café.

We also visited the TempAsian Restaurant situated on the 9th floor with splendid views of Sliema and the Grand Harbour, if you like Asian and Japanese cuisine this restaurant is not to be missed. Very relaxing, quality fine wining and dining experience.

There is also a very nice infinity pool on this floor, which I'm sure in warmer months, would be fantastic. The pool area is set around a roof top complemented with outdoor seating and beds to soak up the sun. There is also an indoor pool area, lovely spa and gym on the floor below. This along with small touches - like free internet - free parking help to make this hotel stand out.

Last but not least wherever you eat or drink at this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised that the prices were not exorbitant and certainly no dearer than other local quality restaurants we frequented during our stay, all in all a great place to base yourself for a visit to Malta.

We shall certainly be returning.

We went to The Palace to celebrate my birthday and stayed in one of the designer suites(texture suite) , it was great!. Really comfortable bed and large terrace both of which the girls thoroughly enjoyed. The view from the terrace was great especially in the evening with all the lights in the distance, very relaxing nice way to end the day. The Asian themed restaurant Temptasian has views over sliema and valletta too which are beautiful. The food is delicious and they have a very good selection too. We liked everything that we ate there and we surely will go there again both for the food and for the atmosphere. I would like to compliment the manager Mr Johnathan Pisani for helping to make our stay a memorable one and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was lovely, staff very helpful and courtious, the bedrooms were spacious, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Breakfast was good as was the asian experience restaurant, however the buffet style evening meal was poor.
