There's now a lift down to the front docks and it's worth taking the small chugga boat across rather than wait for the bigger ferries. Much prettier and attractive. Don't be sent to the far end of the docks: there is a much more central landing stage near the lift

Great for a lunch or an evening dinner. Many eateries to choose from, and all located at the waterfront. Nice wide walkway to walk and view the harbor, where cruise ships often dock. Wonderful for a diversion for the kids, if needed.

From the Seabank Hotel,Melieha,we caught the frequent bus service 222 to Sliema waterfront. This bus takes you around the coast past St Pauls island. When we got to Sliema we took the Ferry across to Valletta,a much more interesting journey to the capital.Valletta has a lot of history for you to explore with its various museums, churches, catacombs and the view over the .Grand harbour, with the midday firing of the cannon.

Ate in the Hard-Rock Cafe. Food was delicious but service was a little slow (for which the staff apologised profusely - understaffed!) Beautiful scenery and lighting at night, great atmosphere.
