We wanted a week's holiday on the island of Gozo but also wanted to include a visit to Valletta as neither my partner nor I had been previously. Our preference is self-catering so we have freedom to come and go as we please and Maison La Vallette seemed to offer exactly what we were looking for, with a quirky twist. Even better, we could be picked up at the airport and transferred to the suite. Brian was there to meet us and we were soon at Maison La Vallette. Unfortunately we never got to meet Stephen as he was showing other guests around one of their other suites at the time. We were not disappointed with the quality and comfort and soon made ourselves at home, helped with the map indicating various sites, restaurants etc given to us by Brian. If we had to make any suggestions to improve the experience, it would be to have a slightly larger table in the living area and brighter lighting in the kitchen area. That said, we found the position in Valletta to be ideal, within easy reach of everything but still making us feel like locals - it was good to go back down the little street at the end of the day. The accommodation style sits nicely between a hotel suite and an apartment and for anyone looking for a real Maltese experience whilst visiting the truly fabulous city of Valletta, then we would not hesitate in recommending Maison La Vallette.
