When I entered this small restaurant with my colleagues I had a very positive impression. It was at lunch time, the place was very nice and offering a wide selection of italian-inspired plates.
At the end of my lunch my feeling was a bit different: we spent almost two hours for eating just one main course and one dessert (and there were only a few table occupied); the most of us ordered pasta and I can say that apart from the very nice and enjoyable preparation, the taste was not so good.
In summary, the expectation was much higher than the effective experience.

We found this restaurant purely by accident whilst exploring Valletta. The signs outside indicating that Aaron was a 'celebrity' chef who appeared regularly on the Maltese equivalent of "Saturday Kitchen" made us think this would be worth a try ... and it didn't disappoint. Fortunately we discovered this restaurant at the start of our holiday as it enabled us to re-visit a further two times. There were more than enough delicious sounding dishes to allow us to choose differently each time we visited. On our third visit, Chef Aaron managed to get away from the kitchen to meet the guests. What a great guy! He told us all about his TV experiences and pointed us in the direction of the website where many of his fabulous recipes can be found. The rest of his team were equally charming and welcoming and looked after us very well. The restaurant is quite small but very popular - so it's definitely worth booking in advance. Note that the toilets are downstairs with a steep spiral staircase to access - not ideal for infirm or disabled.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking aimlessly through the streets of Valletta; the narrower the better to avoid the glare of the midday sun. It didn't look much from the outside, but we went in, expecting a standard-issue pizza or pasta. How wrong we were. This is an excellent restaurant with a brilliant menu; many of the dishes are Maltese local recipes. The menu is divided into the usual starters, main course, etc, but they are so flexible here that if you want a starter as a main course it will be provided. My partner is vegetarian (!!) but there was enough choice here for her to be quite happy. And the portion sizes were amazing, even enough for me as a standard English fat bloke! The service was friendly but maybe a little slow - but the restaurant was full and the dishes are freshly cooked - and very well worth waiting for! This restaurant is yet another example as to why Valletta is one of the finest cities in the world!
