“Spacious flat with amazing views”
Reviewed 1 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This was probably our favourite place in all of our accommodations throughout Europe. We searched long and hard for a place in Valletta that had both history and character, as well as a great balcony, and we found that in the Admiral's Suite. We loved spending the mornings and evenings with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, watching the views of the harbour. Fleur was there to meet us for check-in, even though our flight was delayed. She left us some milk, bread, and water. The flat was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was great- close to the Upper Barraka gardens and the busses that can take you all over the island. We used the washing machine while we were there, and there were no problems with that. Overall, a great stay!

“Great location, fabulous flat.”
Reviewed 21 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Just returned from the admirals suite. This flat has been beautifully restored, we were living in a little bit of history with the comforts of the modern age. After many visits to Malta we wanted to take more time to visit Valletta and the 3 cities. This was perfect. Jason met us and had kindly put milk and bread in the flat and showed us round. We knew how to contact him but as there was everything we could ever need in the flat it wasn't necessary. Wifi worked well. The views from the balcony were amazing, it was great to watch the activity in the harbour day and night. I only wish we had stayed longer.

“The view sells it”

Admirals View is clean and tidy. Although pretty basic there was everything we needed and the wifi was great.
The big selling point is definitely the views over the working harbour to the three cities. Hours could be spent watching the tankers in the harbour and the yachts over the way in the harbour at Birgu. You should note the balcony is solid concrete rather than wooden spindles, which does impact on the view when sitting.
There was really good communication beforehand with the owner, key arrangements were easy and there was someone there to greet us and show us round. We also really appreciated that basic groceries, milk, bread, tea and coffee were waiting for us as we arrived late on a Sunday - very good service.

Good size bathroom but you should note that the shower facility is a mixer tap and not overhead - we found this a bit tricky, but not everyone will. Also needs a new shower head.
Much of the furniture has seen better days - many drawers and cupboard/wardrobe doors don't quite open or close well - but it is in keeping mostly with the style of the house.
Hot water supply was good, but you do need to wait a good 40 mins between showers.

“Great welcome, great location, great views”
Reviewed 22 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Despite our late-evening arrival the owner arranged our transport from the airport and met us at the apartment to show us round; he even provided food essentials for our first night. The characterful apartment is located in an old-world Valetta street and provides very spacious accommodation for a couple. The views across Grand Harbour from the bedroom and lounge are stunning. Located just a few minutes' walk from the bus station, the apartment is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of Malta as well as see the sights of its historic capital.

“Simply fantastic!”

What can I add over and above all the other rave reviews of the Admiral's Suite?

This stunning, sizeable, high-ceilinged apartment with most of its original fittings (doors, shutters etc) intact , its comfortable furniture (two sofas and a proper size dining table, not to mention the lovely Welsh dresser full of superb crockery and glassware in the living room; the very comfy bed with reading lights on each side in the bedroom; the big and extremely well-equipped kitchen, the full-size bath and plenty of hot water, the entrance lobby., utility cupboard with washing machines...). And, to crown it all, the magnificent view of the Grand Harbour from the bedroom window and from the living room balcony.

Every morning, my wife and I were up far earlier than usual (for us), having breakfast on the east-facing balcony watching the sun rise over the Three Cities, and the movements of ships and ferries in the harbour. Pure magic! And at dusk, the view was equally magical, as the setting sun changed the hues on the water and townscape opposite, and the lights on the ships and buildings came on.

This was our first visit to Valletta. I was worried that it might be a chilly n the first week of February, but in fact the sun shone every day, and the apartment stayed warm at night with the help of a boost from the two electric heaters provided.

As for the city, it is amazing - like a time capsule of European history, from the figurines and temple artefacts dating from 3,600 BC (in the Archeological Museum), to the extraordinary visionary new City Gate designed by Renzo Piano, not forgetting, of course, the wonderful 16C baroque architecture of the Knights of St John ;-) Our only regret is that we only stayed for 6 days in Valletta, and felt we had hardly scratched the surface of its cultural and architectural treasures... not to mention the wonderful and diverse range of restaurants, and the excellent Maltese wines....

Many thanks to Jasper and Fleur for helping to make our stay so enjoyable. And be warned : we will return!

“Timeless elegance in a jewel at the heart of the Mediterranean”
Reviewed 22 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The apartment is extremely convenient for visiting the magnificence that is Valletta during the day, in the evening a short stroll will take you to the open air squares and the rich variety of cafes, restaurants & pubs which this jewel of a city has to offer. Overlooking the magnificent Grand Harbour the spacious apartment has been elegantly decorated by Fleur & Jasper who were very efficient & courteous in making every aspect of their guests stay as enjoyable as possible.

“The perfect place to explore Malta.”
Reviewed 9 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This is a very traditional apartment with a little balcony and amazing views over the Three Cities. It is well equipped and comfortable. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to everywhere in Valletta, the bus station and ferry terminals. The host was very helpful and we would definitely book this apartment again in the future.
