...At the end of a long and tiring week, we decided to go to Valletta and have some Dinner. We were late, very late to even hope in getting such a nice Dinner and refreshing ambiance. Walking down Republic Street, we only decided to try our first experience at D'Office! Saturday night and already 9:45 Pm. The place was nearly full excepting a table for two, inside. We were greeted with a smile and immediately seated. From then onwards, The Pianist have enchanted us throughout our Dinner. The Staff was very patient and helpful with us. Some nice Bruschetta kept us busy until our order was ready. I have personally much enjoyed a wonderful - main dish - Rabbit Liver, beside of my girlfriend who also made a great choice with her dish of Beef Carpaccio[...] A bottle of Red Wine, complemented our Meal. Our conclusion is very simple after all: We've spend such a wonderful time and definitely will call again as soon as possible, and also highly recommend the place.
Thank you guys.

D’Office promises to welcome those seeking a coffee, a snack, or a multi-course meal. We dropped in for lunch on a weekday to find every table apparently occupied by locals (though a couple of other tourists arrived later). The ambience was cosy and welcoming, and the food fresh and good value (my wife’s pasta with prawns came with monstrous freshly-grilled prawns on top). It did seem to be somewhat heavy on the capers, but this is apparently a characteristic of Maltese cuisine. If you’re not in the mood for a beer, we can recommend Kinnie, the local soft drink, not too fizzy and flavoured with bitter oranges; unusual and refreshing. The toilet décor was an interesting and unexpected experience which I won't spoil by describing!

We have been unlucky in the meals we've had so far, in Malta, so I'm very glad to be able to say we found a 'gem' tonight. We were wandering the streets of Valetta, looking for a place to dine, when we came across D'Office by accident, but remembered reading good reviews on TA. Fortunately, we got one of only two remaining outside vacant tables (inside restaurant is small and was full).
There was good fresh crusty bread with sun dried tomato butter to enjoy as we perused the menu. We each had the pork medallions in a 'burro de sangria with mustard grain sauce' - delicious! -- accompanied by a dish of potatoes and vegetables. This was very filling, but my Husband decided he'd like the apple pie and ice cream dessert - Maltese style pie - which was also enjoyable. We had a bottle of sparkling water and one cocktail (- the only part of the evening I wouldn't recommend: stick with wine) and the bill, with tip, was €50.
During the course of our meal we were entertained by a violinist playing great melodies outside the nearby restaurant and when she stopped, the entertainment continued with a pianist on the pavement next to the outside seating. We were amused to see the piano being offloaded from a 'trolley', by the pianist! 'Have piano, will travel'! Staff are pleasant and willing to answer all questions about the menu. The food is fresh, so be prepared to wait - enjoy the ambience. Would definitely go back!

We had the most delicious meal here. The food was simple but beautifully cooked. I would recommend booking though, we stumbled upon it and it was pure chance that there was room for us. It is a very popular restaurant with good reason. On a lovely Spring evening, you can sit outside and watch the world go by whilst enjoying lovely Maltese food, wine and ambiance. The staff were very friendly and service excellent. Make sure you visit the powder room... (can't say loo, my ma would faint..)
