Salvino's is a small quaint little place in Valletta, just below the President's Palace. Cosy atmosphere and the food was absolutely superb. It is beautifully presented and meets your taste buds in a great way. The octopus entree was really very good although my friend's fried calamari lacked the chorizo taste that should have had. The mains are equally wonderful although the price tag is rather high, unless you opt for pasta which is more reasonable and is really very tasty, especially because the dishes are well executed with wonderful sauces that bring them altogether. In particular, I also appreciated the nicely varied wine list and luckily, they are priced very well.
So, chapeau to the chef who is definitely doing a great job and who has had quite some thought behind the menu. A small suggestion would be if possible, slightly lowering the price of the mains (not pasta) would make this place even more special. Certainly worth going there!
