“Nice Evening Out”

We had not booked and were checking out a variety of Valetta restaurants for possible visit. On a very busy night we were treated to excellent service, fine food and wine. Starters of carpaccio of salmon and sea bass were excellent followed by good pasta and a trio of desserts to share. Couple on table next to us had bad (unlucky) experience with chipped glass and staff were attentive, apologetic and caring. Impressive.

“Perfection at its limits”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

we have been to Palazzo Preca for Father's Day luch and it was simply excellent. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and enloy our meal. The high standards have gone up by an additional notch. There was a wide variety of choice and the food was a usual supberb. As starters I recommend that you have a combination of salmon parcels, fish cakes and breaded Gozo cheese. As a main I had the fresh lobster combination (with pasta and with garlic butter). The others had the veal in lemon sauce which was so tender that one did not require a knife to cut it, the mixed grilled fish with addiitonal prawns and the Angus fillet. The portions wer abundant and the food excellent - all the plates were returned empty! For dessert try the Maltese canoli or the melon mousse. Excellent and well done. Do not miss out on this restaurant.

“Italian food at this restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

We took my mum and her partner out to lunch at this restaurant whilst on holiday. Found it by chance just walking around the capital. We were all staying in the north of the island, so this was just a day trip visit. This was by far the best meal we experienced whilst holidaying on the island. The food and the ambiance was superb and the biggest surprise was the bill. Contained everything that was ordered and was so reasonably priced. You must pay this restaurant a visit if you are in Valletta. If there was one thing negative to say about the restaurant, it would be its location. So if you are going to visit Malta, look up its location first.

“Very Disappointing Experience ”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

I have waited almost 3 Years to Dine here after following reviews on TA. So when our reservation was confirmed I was ecstatic. BUT, I have never felt more let down than after our Meal this Evening. On our initial arrival our Reservation was confirmed and we were shown to our Table. Setting & Ambience Lovely. Menus & Wine list handed promptly, with a Appetiser served which was Amazing. Orders were taken and our Wine and Still water served. From here this is where the Customer Service ' Just Ended' We noted Tables behind us were being constantly approached, regarding there Service. We however were totally ignored. On every aspect of our Evening.
1. Not once asked if Everything was Ok.
2. I personally had to serve my own Wine and Water all Night after the initial Pouring.
3. Nobody approached us regarding Quality of any of our Dishes.
4. We did however have our Table Crumbed, but at the end of our Meal! ( after every course is the Norm)

I have luckily been involved in this Industry for Some 35 Years and I have never experienced such Poor Customer Service, even to the point when we paid our Bill it was not acknowledged or Thanked!!! APPALLING.

But the sad fact of all of this, was that the Food was Of a very High Standard, but unless the above is rectified I would never consider eating here again.

“Hard to find, but absolutely a gem in Valletta!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

A bit hard to find, as it is one of the typical "hole in the wall"-restaurants. That being said: We absolutely loved the place. Great service (even if we ate in the middle of two shifts), really good food and a good atmosphere. The seafood is really great, and I had to send compliments to the chef multiple times during the meal. The shellfish soup is by far the best soup I´ve had in a very long time! They are busy at times, so a reservation is recommended.
