My wife and I stayed here for Chtristmas 2013. A great central locatrion for everything Valetta has to offer but it really lets itself down in the "restaurant". Breakfast was awful and wholly repetitive. Burned eggs, stale bread for toast (which one had to toast oneself on an EXTREMELY slow machine), no idea on how to place tea and coffee and sugar and milk in the same place!!!! So very difficult to fill cups. Very poor quality of produce too. We booked a Christmas Eve dinner for two (at €26 each excluding drinks). Our meal was terrible! A bowl of watery soup and a few slices of lamb on a COLD plate for main course. We couldn`t eat the salads as none had been refrigerated and had been standing for at least 3 hours when we entered the restaurant. The vegetables were "tinned" - I ask you who could eat that!!! We complained and were told to "see Brian" (whoever he was) on Thursday. Thursday came and went and no sign of the supposed Brian. On departure we were so fed up we just paid and left. €52 Euros for two slices of lamb each is NOT good value. The Restaurant layout was a joke too. Enough said about that aspect. Our room was comfortable and clean. Our room cleaner couldn`t have been more helpful but would do better at a better Hotel bless her.Never again. Stay there by all means but eat EVERY meal somewhere else!

Room Tip: Use the first floor - the lift is VERY slow!

We were on our first trip to Malta and stayed at the Hotel for two nights.

Our bedroom ( 1st Floor) was large enough for us and had a window looking out onto a shabby wall

The location of the Osborne is great, to be able to leave your hotel room and stroll down to the heart of Valletta. But the hotel is not particularly comfortable or clean.

The rooms bathroom was not clean, the shower had mold growing around the edge.
Thick dust, mud and hair, in the corner of the bathroom; blood stain on bed cover; loud AC makes sleeping almost impossible

I stayed at the Osborne for 5 nights in early December to explore the Valletta area. It has a great location just inside the city walls. The hotel is traditional in appearance downstairs, smart and clean. Staff were polite and friendly. My room (112) looked good on first impressions - modern, stylish, decent bathroom. On living with it for a bit, everything worked OK but I realised that bits of it needed a bit of TLC. The bedside tables were part of a wallpapered feature and the table top wallpaper was unprotected and hence very grubby. I was reluctant to put things directly on it. The shower screen allowed water to pour on the floor. The single bed(s) was fine. Breakfast was OK, but the same items appeared every day, with a limited choice of cooked breakfast constituents(great slabs of cooked egg, beans, bacon, sausages). It is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that charged (a euro a day) for a key to the safe in the room. Overall, I thought it was fine for what I needed and was good value for money. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have no view - mine did not. If you want a window with something to look at throu...

We went to malta and stayed at this hotel for two nights and two nights at the intercontinental in st juliens.
Although the Osborne Hotel is described as a 3 star it certainly exceeds that rating. Its full of character and charm. The rooms are well designed and airy....the TV channel selection is quite good and during our stay they had a happy hour between 6-8... drinks half price.
We dined here first night as it was raining out...food was good and hearty..not fine cuisine but homely and 4 courses for 10 euros is excellent value in Valletta.
The location is very convenient for exploring Valletta and I would recommend at least days to explore this historic capital.
The staff here are friendly and helpful although the lady manning the desk could could with smiling occasionally....the elderly chap on the front desk at other times is very proactive and full of advice to get the best out of your trip.
We stayed at the Intercontinental for the next two nights and although it is a 5 star we wished we had remained at the Osborne.
One little criticism, although the booking site says there is parking,,,it is street parking not a dedicated hotel car park.
All in all we highly recommend this charming excellent hotel.

Room Tip: The single room(double bed) have no window so if claustrophobic ask for room with window.

We booked this hotel as part of an EasyJet holiday because of its central location.
The hotel is in an ideal location, the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities as well as a TV. Fresh towels every day.
We booked on a b&b basis and you could not complain about the range and quality of the buffet. We tried the dinner buffet on the first night for €12 each, it was that good and the options so varied that we found it great to eat in every night and then go out for a walk around town.
Would defiantly stay there again, Valletta is the best place to stay.

Yes as many reviewers have said this hotel is in an excellent location. Valletta is pretty compact so everywhere is kind of central but this hotel is nicely positioned 100 metres or so inside the main gate. The hotel has a friendly low key atmosphere with helpful staff at the check in desk. There are excellent views from the rooftop area where there is a small swimming pool. Upper floor rooms are bigger. The breakfast is pretty basic and disorganised but OK. The staff don't replenish items efficiently and can get in the way whilst clearing up. A word of warning though not the hotel's fault - they booked my family a taxi to the airport. In the room they advertise that it will be 20 Euros but the taxi driver charged us 25E despite my protests. Confirm the price with the driver before you take the taxi. I did report this to the hotel.

Room Tip: The higher floors have the bigger rooms.
