Owner description: The only Drinkers Pub in Valletta, this traditional English watering hole is where Mr Oliver Reed had his last drink. Voted the 5th most legendary Pub in the world, The Pub shows sports and serves a vast array of beers and spirits.

Tiny taste of England in an interesting if petite space. Plenty of canned beers and ciders in a shrine to Oliver Reed. Good music and I did not think it was any more expensive than drinking in English pubs. We did not know it was there so no question of ticking it off our lists.

It was nice to get some decent English beer.

Reading the Reed stories was also quite interesting, physically he went from a macho moustacioed film idol to a Bill Oddie look-alike. He did go out in style - they say on his last day, aged 61 whilst filming the almost completed Gladiator, he consumed eight lagers, 12 double rums and half a bottle of whisky..

The only pub in Valletta so it's a must realy. It's small and quite expensive but a nice way to pass a couple of hours.

Yes, it has a great story, and that's the only thing that this little pub really has to offer anyone. It's tiny, it's packed with Brits 'ticking it off' their lists, and the atmosphere is not much to write home about. It's interesting to look at all the Oliver Reed memorabilia on the walls, along with all the signed flags of visiting RN ships, but apart from that, it didn't really do much for us. It's worth stopping in for one, just to say you've been there (off the list...), but not a place to spend too long in unless you like going abroad to be shoulder to shoulder with your fellow Brits.

I read a few mixed reviews on this place before turning up but went in with an open mind. Firstly it is not a tourist joint it is to small to be that. Its where the locals go for a beer. If you want to pop in to tick it off the list then there is a lot to see many pictures and memorabilia throughout the world. Make sure you pop upstairs. If you want to stay for a drink its brilliant, be prepared for lots of laughs. I recommend the 18yr old Glenfiddich at a unbelievably cheap price of 4.90 a nip.
