We came across this lovely and friendly Wine Bar while discovering Valetta with a group of friends during our last year's trip to Malta. Tempted by the picturesque location as it is situated on the alleyways stairs we stopped for 'one drink' to enjoy the late afternoon break in each others company.
It quickly turned out to be the whole evening and we were completely won by the amazing atmosphere and friendly owner who introduced us to local flavours and shared his wast knowledge on the local wines. Being surrounded by many of Maltese popping in for a chat or a quick snack we quickly felt like locals and returned there in a couple of days to enjoy more of the fantastic atmosphere.
Its truly a well hidden gem and definitely a must when strolling around Valletta, even if just to enjoy the view and the peaceful advantages of the unusual location.

Also we found this bar by chance and stayed for several hours. Good Ale, nice italian flair and liquor. Friendly owner. Great location. All what makes Malta beautifull in a nutshell.

Just found this bar/restaurant by accident. It's near the St Paul's Shipwreck Church. It's situated down some steps and the tables are set out on the steps. The owner Keith gave us a warm welcome. We had some lovely snacks with our drinks. Food was excellent. Keith is very interested in the history of Valletta and has underground tunnels from the war, in his cellar which he showed us. Some weekends he has music with live groups. Very friendly. Lovely food.
