“Beautiful - two thumbs up.”
Reviewed 27 February 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Full of beautiful original features. Worn stone stairs, beautiful old arches.
Perfect location right in the center of Valletta. Close to the ferries to Sliema and 2 min walk to the restaurants in Valletta.
Clean and cosy, it really feels like you are living the Maltese life in this house.
Thaks again to James who really made us feel welcome, and thank for the pick up at the airport which really made everything so easy.

“Typical Maltese home - lots of stone and arches”
Reviewed 29 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Near to the centre of Valletta. Lovely and quiet at night. Enter into living room, bedroom is 8 stone steps up and kitchen/bathroom 8 stone steps down. Bed firm and comfortable. Kitchen is basic but sufficient, we didn’t actually eat there at all.
Shower is fine. Toilet has an interesting entrance!! The stone arched ceiling means you have to duck to get into the loo.

The location is great, only minutes from the heart of Valletta. We liked the well preserved historic features of the property including stone walls, arches and ceilings. property was very tastefully decorated. I liked the balcony-Romeo and Juliette style. Kitchen was well equipped.
There is a very good grocery store and a baker nearby. Baker is wonderful- he works on a an ancient wooden table-amazing! Fantastic memories and excellent stay!

“Lovely place - but tricky if you're tall!”

This is indeed a lovely old house. Decor, furnishing and kitchen equipment all good. Great powerful shower, plenty of towels and lovely bedroom. We enjoyed our stay and, although we did not meet James, he left plenty of info and was on the phone when needed. You need to be happy with a fair few stairs from bathroom to bedroom and I think it would be quite awkward for anyone over 6 feet tall, but all in all a lovely stay.

“400 years of charm in great location”

Charming 400 year old house in the middle of Valletta. It is off of a cobbled street and you enter into a sitting room with shuttered windows. The beautifully worn steps lead up to a comfortable bedroom with a small balcony over looking the cobbled street. The other set of stairs leads down to a room with a vaulted ceiling which contains a basic kitchen, separate toilet and separate shower.
The location is perfect for strolling to all the sites and restaurants and only 10 minutes walk from the bus station from which you can easily (if some what slowly) access the rest of island for the amazing price of just 6.5 euros per week for unlimited travel.

“A bit of history and charm in Valletta”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

House is on as quiet street with loads of character in the centre of Valletta.. Well appointed although could do with some extra kitchen utensils and crockery. We only had one wine glass. Need to watch your head to avoid supporting roof arches in the kitchen. Smells a bit musty downstairs but this is due mainly to the age of the building and the stone it's made from. Despite the negatives I would stay here again.
