This property was very recently renovated when we arrived (we were only the third group of guests) and was in excellent repair. The furniture, beds, and other amenities were simple but functional and comfortable. The kitchen came stocked with the basic necessities (pots, pans, cutlery, and so forth), though the refrigerator - while clearly functional - had a tendency to make odd noises off and on. The Internet access was fast enough to stream Netflix, so no complaints there, and the television had access to a handful of channels in Italian, Maltese, and English. Finally, the property has a relatively powerful air conditioner in the master bedroom - it is sufficient to cool the entire apartment if all the internal doors are left open (this is a big bonus, especially during the hot, humid Maltese summers).
Our only real complaint was the very high level of noise from the street. This apartment is situated on one of the busiest thoroughfares (it serves as an artery from the Great Siege Road) and the windows of the property are only single-pane glass; ear-plugs are therefore highly recommended.
That said, Valletta is a fantastic little city, and serves as the perfect home-base for any vacation in Malta. There are tonnes of restaurants, cafés, corner stores, retail outlets, and so forth, making for a highly convenient stay. This apartment is very conveniently positioned to, well, everything, since it takes no more than 15 minutes to get from one side of the city to the other!
(A special thank-you to V, who managed our stay at this property, and responded promptly and professionally to our questions and concerns as they came up.)
