If you are lucky enough to get to Faroe Islands, you will be treated to some wonderful historical places dating back to hundreds and even thousands of years ago, mostly Nordic. The roofs of the dwellings are especially interesting with Sod covering birch bark, which both insulated and waterproofed the buildings. Most of the present population is Lutheran and the Cathedral is not to be missed. It's structure is modest but very beautiful. The organ is particularly spectacular. Don't miss it.
