Loved the castle. Beautifully restored; the only downside was the exhibits did not have an English translation.

If you enjoy the HBO show "Game of Thrones", this should interest you.
I was with a group of 12 folks in the area for a tour of the Battle of the Bulge, so most of us have an appreciation for history.
Local guide was great and added much to the experience.
Small but some interesting historical information inside. What was the chapel is lovely and some beautiful pieces of furniture around. Dining room has an amazing table
The castle looks absolutely stunning from the outside. It sits high above the city of Vianden. There is parking pretty close but it is a steep walk uphill to the castle. The entrance price is 6 euro which isn't bad at all. The crowds weren't terrible but we also went in October and it was pretty chilly. The inside of the castle can't live up to the beauty of the exterior. It's still an interesting walkthrough but don't expect to spend more than an hour or so here. The views of Vianden and the river below are well worth the trip though.
The castle looks magnificent from the outside (located on a hill) + great view at the top. Inside there is actually not much to see.
ticket price: 6 euros (adult)
I don't like old stuff or history that much, but it was a 6 euro well spend. Excellent views all around.
