I stayed at Hotel Heinz as a weekend getaway in the middle of a European business trip. I can't say enough about the hosts. They were extremely helpful with everything including restaurant recommendations, parking options, local hikes and shopping. The garden terrace behind the hotel is a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast or an afternoon beer. The rooms are nothing great; simple furniture and sparsely decorated but very clean and comfortable. Anyway, you don't go to Vianden to sit in your hotel room. Overall I highly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony overlooking the garden.

Stayed here overnight as a stop off while driving from Amsterdam to Paris on the recommendation of family who have stayed here numerous times. The only thing we didnt like was only allowing 1 night for this place!
The room was comfortable and airy, opening onto a balcony over the rear courtyard & gardens with a sitting area adjoining. More than enough space for the 2 of us and our toddler.
Breakfast is charged for but is very filling and possibly the best breskfast we had in the 2 weeks and 5 countries we covered. They didnt charge for our daughter but she still got a full helping and the staff were wonderful to us.
Will definately stay for longer next time and explore Vianden & Luxembourg more than we did this stay

As others have mentioned the Heintz feels like a B & B and I mean that as a compliment.

We had a room at the back with a balcony and parking and breakfast. Some have mentioned that these all cost extra, however, that point is made clear on several internet sites and was not a surprise.

There are restaurants and cafes nearby. A nice walk along the river to the Castle followed by a cable car ride, then a walk on a goat track to the castle are not only recommended, they are compulsory!!!

We had a great time. The owners were very helpful as others have said.

When it was time to leave, we were discussing the best route to take. The owner even drawing a map for us and recommending stopping places for lunch on the way.

Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

I would gladly stay here again.

Went here for one night on a business trip. The location of the hotel is good, down the Main Street of the town. Very noisy road out front though, the cars drive fast, but that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel itself is pretty, especially at the back (garden terrace) and a room on that side gives you a balcony view over it. Inside it's old style with some real nice antiques and a cosy atmosphere. The staff is friendly enough. The room I was in was fine. Clean and comfortable. However, very standard. Nothing really to remember it by. Also, parking at the hotel is possible but it turns out you have to pre-book it. This is unfortunate and doesn't state clearly anywhere. This needs some clarification on the hotel booking sites, because without booking the parking you have no choice but to park down the street, for €1 an hour during the day. Inconvenient. Breakfast is not included, which is unfortunate (the rooms are not exactly cheap), but for €7,50 per person you get a proper continental breakfast (breads, cheeses, hams, jams) with free flow coffee or tea. Overall the experience was fine, adequate, proper, but like I said before; it feels like nothing very special either. You won't have a bad time booking this hotel, but you won't remember it for the rest of your life either.

This hotel, as others noticed, is not a B&B, but certainly feels like one. Breakfast can be easily had down the street, but it would be nice to not have to leave the hotel. Parking in the hotel's lot is scare, so ask about it when you book. Parking is available close by.

Room Tip: Ask about parking when you book.

Nice place with a B&B feel. Room was well appointed and reasonably large. Great bath. Get a balcony room on the garden side...very relaxing. The people who run the place are friendly, accommodating and helpful. They do hit you with "oh, by the way" charges...€7 for breakfast, €7 a night to park, €4 a night for the balcony room...but none of these charges are outrageous. This really is an enjoyable place to stay and worth making Vianden a base for a couple days of touring.

This was an excellent family owned hotel, more like a B&B. The husband was particularly helpful in assisting us with our following day trip to Luxembourg City. The hotel is spotless and very charming. There is even a small elevator that is unusual in old buildings. There is a charge for parking and breakfast. The breakfast was just outstanding and was the best we experienced in Europe. Make sure to have some yogurt as it has to be some of the best in the world. We highly recommend this hotel. We loved everything about the hotel. We visited in late September, and the town seemed nearly shut down at night.

Room Tip: We had a lovely room with a balcony at the back of the hotel.
