Have not been staying at this hotel since we discovered the Légère hotel down the road. That one has an under-storey car park so in the winter you can keep the car free of ice and snow. One year we got stuck in the NH hotel car park, they provided snow shovels but a hand at pushing would have done. A fellow car owner of the same make helped me get it out and we helped him such as the brand of owner of these cars :). Ever since then haven't stayed at this hotel having found the other. Said hotel down the road packs up for Xmas for about ten days, thanks a lot, hello NH Luxembourg.
The secret with this hotel is to book early via a booking system to avoid high prices as the one posted up. Breakfast is very good but expensive. Worth it mind you. They do eggs and omelette to order. We had a studio type of room which was very good and no problems with heating (circa £55 a night). It was a warm winter in 2015. A few years back I had to plug in my own fan heater at this hotel and have it running all night, the one mentioned above.
Front staff are a bit surely at checking in. I prefer hotel staff to remember their place to serve. Sadly in Luxembourg across hotels visited you bump into a few...Have not been staying at this hotel since we discovered the Légère hotel down the road. Sadly in Luxembourg across hotels visited you bump into a few people with attitude possibly due to their religious beliefs, Christian or whatever. Comes down to hotel training and remembering their place to serve, not impose their values on you.
As far as the airport is concerned it's a 7 minute or so walk. We use to walk down to the Ibis or up to the Campanile to eat since previously they never opened their restaurant at weekends, you had to eat in the bar. They have changed that now. For people travelling by air this hotel is handy and the best one at the airport location but as noted get an early booking from a consolidator booking system for the best price. There are buses to town but we always drive in.More
