“Beautiful Giet”
Reviewed 9 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We stayed at the Le Combal Saint-Andre-de-Najac during August, when arriving we were amazed by the standard of the Giet and the views and setting was outstanding. The quality and standard of the Giet was exceptional, there was everything you needed for day to day living and entertaining, it was like being at home. The open plan living was great so the whole family of 8 could dine together and still hold a conversation when preparing a meal. Bathrooms and bedrooms had everything you needed and of a great standard.

The pool was really easy to keep clean, really warm and safely gated, the summer kitchen with fridge was fantastic addition which meant we could BBQ and have everything to hand.

The property is within walking distance to the village where we could get the basic essentials, dine out or a short car, bike ride you can get fresh crepes after having a swim in the river where the children had such fun in the water funnel.

The whole holiday had an amazing time, the Giet was outstanding and certainly made our family holiday, we would certainly recommend the propoerty to anyone with a family or large group of friends.

Thank you for your valued review. We are pleased you had such a good holiday at Gite Le Combal and would be delighted to welcome you again in the future! As an aside, the heated pool has a salt system hence no aggressive chemicals as you correctly pointed out. Kind Regards, Graham & Leila McLelland

Easily one of - if not - the best Gites we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a few) Amazing pool and views - perfect house and surroundings.
Stunning local villages and towns and all you need back at Le Combal. Highly recommended.

“Amazing views”
Reviewed 7 June 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Le Combal was well equipped, spacious and beautiful gite. Remotely located in rural France, friendly locals and with the most amazing views of the countryside. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil holiday I would highly recommend Le Combal. Thank you for a wonderful stay Graham and Leila.

“Amazing location, lovely gite”

This is the first time we have been to France and we couldn't have picked a nicer location. The area was absolutely stunning!!

The gite itself is very nice and amazingly well equipped. I went with my wife and young child and we found everything we could have needed for a two week stay.

It was clean but as its an old barn there were quite a few spiders webs around but they don't cause any problems. The pool is lovely and the solar heating takes the edge of nicely. Our only concern with the pool was that it wasn't very toddler friendly. There are no gates or fences etc stopping young children from getting to the pool on their own. I should explain this is only from the grass, patio area. There is a gate separating the garden and gite from the whole pool area but if you don't want to spend all day chasing your child around its worth blocking the two gaps in the wall with chairs/sun loungers etc

I would recommend the gite but there were a few problems for us. The mattress in room three wasn't very good and I wouldn't fancy having to sleep on it for two weeks. We just moved into another room as there was only three of us there. Room 4 could do with some curtains or blinds etc as it was getting light around 6am which was a bit early for us on holiday. I loved the wet room shower but the bathmats are VERY slippery on the tiled floors. My wife and child both slipped on them so we just took them up.

There are a lot of flies around as others have mentioned but you are surrounded by farmland and stunning views so I think you have to accept that. Due to its very rural location the Wi-Fi isn't great but works ok with a bit of patience.

We were very lucky with the weather, it was very hot for June and only had two days of rain. It could benefit from air conditioning, especially when it gets hotter later in the summer.

Overall it is a lovely place to stay, very very well equipped and perfect for lazing around and relaxing. The directions were spot on and very easy to follow. It is very well priced as you only pay per person rather than a full price for a four bedroomed gite.

Plenty to do in the area or not, just as I like it. Clean and tidy, I made my own bed so I knew it was clean and fresh. Grass freshly cut, pool clean as if I was the first of the season
Thank you so much a most enjoyable stay.
Our friends Pauline and Malcolm say they will return as will I.
