We stayed for 3 weeks with Mercury Direct. 2 weeks half board and 1 week free on BB. Nice clean hotel, very friendly staff and good Turkish food. The room contained all that we needed, but the bathroom was a bit dated. The gardens are amazing, full of highly scented English flowers. Such a surprise!
Ahmed was a star. Very helpful. The clientele were all a bit aged, but at least no-one was too infirm, because there are a lot of steps with no lift. Ask for a quiet room in the back block over looking the olive groves. I recommend an update to HB for the third week as there are not too many bars restaurants within easy walking distance. The main road outside is very busy. Traffic travels very fast. A visit to the pottery across the road is a must. All lovely unusual handmade pots.

Room Tip: Upgrade to HB for third week. Wifi only in reception of at pool bar. Ask for quiet room. Car hire is...

I have stayed in this hotel for many years. I love it as the staff are so friendly and each year Zube remembers your name and greats you like a friend. He and all the waiting satff are very friendly. I love the rooms ovelooking the road at the back and the mountain. It's lovely to sit there and admire the view. The road is quiet so no problem.

Room Tip: The twin rooms at the back of the hotel are lovely and you have a balcony overlooking the pool as we...

I had to ask to be moved from a room where the bathroom grouting had turned black and the view was of the road at the back. Second room was much better - overlooked the pool and was much cleaner.
The meals were so so. The worse night was when we went á la carte.
Furnishings a bit dated especially in the dining room.
Generally tatty round the edges.
Usual clientele about 60+.
No entertainment in the evenings.

Room Tip: Ask to overlook the pool or garden.

I really enjoyed the Ship in June with my wife this year because of the wonderful friendly atmosphere and the really lovely people we met who were so friendly. The staff were great, a special mention to Zubby the head waiter who remembers every ones name each morning at breakfast and Hassan ,the head barman.
The surrounding gardens, pool and Aviary are beautiful and are a credit to the management and staff.
Mostly for me it is the people who visit year after year who greet you like old friends and you soon find yourself arranging to go out together in groups to visit other lovely resturants at night.

A most relaxing holiday , will be in touch with Nilay at the Ship Inn London offices soon to book another holiday when I get stressed again.

Tisaccula, Ship Inn. My interputation of Turkish for thanks.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are lovely.

We have just returned from The Ship Inn hotel and must say what a great place to stay, Zubi and all of his staff in the restuarant and bars were excellent very hospitable and extremly obliging. The pool and pool bar are brilliant as were the snacks you can purchase there ( be careful of steps when entering the pool they can be slippery ). Our rooms were very good clean and a really comfy bed the cleaning girls who cleaned the room every day are very nice and do a good job.We were Halfboard the food for our meals was excellent nice choice or go Al Carte for a subsidy ( although eating out in Kyrenia is very cheap and very good try The Ambiance or the Blue Moon see reception and they will organise for you ). The hotel gardens are beautiful and the hotel is very clean and tidy. We must say we would certainly recommend the hotel great value for the money. Nicely situated for getting the Dolmos to the harbour 2.5 TL. We will be returning

Room Tip: We were in the block at the back one room facing the mountain one room facing the pool very quite ro...

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Ship Inn in northern Cyprus. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Lovely pool and gardens. We stayed half board and what a nice surprise to have silver service with good linen candles and very polite waiter service every night plus very good hot food and reasonably priced drinks. One our first week most of the guests were British or Dutch. Our second week was more multinational. We hired a car for 3 days from the hotel at £18 per day but it was rather battered!!! The reception staff varied always helpful but not many smiles they looked rather depressed to me. The position of the hotel could be a downside we used the local dolmus 2 TL or a taxi to the harbour is 10TL so cheap as chips. Very happy hollibobs we will return

Room Tip: All nice garden rooms looked nice.

We spent 3 nights at The Ship Inn during our Cyprus holiday. As a family of 4 we took a 2 bedroomed villa and this was great value for money as well as being quite spacious. We didn't try the food, preferring to eat out in the evening, but the villa is well equipped with a kitchen area and microwave for preparing lunch and snacks.

Would recommend the laundry service at the hotel, very reasonably priced and extremely convenient.

During the 3 days we visited Kyrenia Castle, St Hilarion Castle and Bellapais Abbey all of which are well worth seeing. We also found a restaurant in Bellapais called Bella Moon which offers a pick up service for diners from most Kyrenia Hotels. The harbour is beautiful both night and day, with lots of boat trips on offer and nice restaurants.

I don't think we would choose The Ship Inn for a 2 week holiday as we prefer to be near the beach, but the views of the five finger mountains are quite beautiful and we will most certainly return in the future for short breaks and sightseeing.

Room Tip: Villas are great for families.
