my wife booked this holiday on internet which included flights /supperior room upgrade /and upgrade to half board.
having stayed at this hotel before 5 yrs previous we were amazed at how much a transformation had gone on but they still remembered us and the personnel touch was still there from arriving at midnight and a lovely snack .The room upgrade was to avery high standard plenty tea/coffee/and cartons of milk all free fridge with selections of wine/beers at very reasonable prices.then to the resturant what can i say excellent from the chef who did the eggs/omellettes/pancakes to all the food it was excellent the sweet cabinets were to die for The pool area was extremely clean the free supply of pool towels was a lovely bonus the staff was very friendly and couldnt do enough for you and i cant leave out sarah what a lady professional in every way the way she walked round the dining area every morning to ask how we all were and if you said we are not she would sit right down and want to know the problem andit would be dealt with asap my wife and i were so relaxed
it was alovely october break the finishing touch to the hols was we had a early morning flight home pick up at 04.45 and came down to reception at 04.00 to be told there was breakfast available what a very considerate thought not like some hotels we have had your money etc now clear off
Ifwe could take the pia bella hotel and staff and put it where ever we were going on our travels it would be a glowing tribute to the kindness and dedication we have just experienced thanks and god bless .j&m room 212

We booked this hotel as a late holiday in Oct. Arrived at the hotel around 10 at night to be warmly greeted at reception, told to leave our bags and shown straight through to the dining hall where we were given a 2 course meal and drink on the house!
Shown to our room which was a lovely double room, bathroom and separate living room area which had a mini bar, tea, coffee making facilities and sofa bed.
We were only B & B but actually stayed to eat in he hotel on a couple of nights because the food was so nice and extremely good value for money. Breakfast is fab with chef out on the patio cooking your eggs to order or omlettes, pancakes etc so much choice!
The pool area was extremely clean, although the pool was a little cold, but refreshing from the sun.
Every member of staff we came across from cleaners, waiters, chefs & bar staff were so friendly and helpful! A huge thank you to Musa our waiter who was made our stay memorable with his friendly smile and helpful nature.
Kyrenia as a whole is fairly quiet place but this could just be because we visited in Oct and the season was winding down? If you're expecting a crazy party town do not come here as its a more relaxed, serene place with loads of historics sights to visit.
The walk down to the harbour is a 15 min leisurely stroll, the pavements arent the best but its safe. Lots of shops and restaurants around, the views from the top of Kyrenia castle are amazing!
Northern Cyprus offers good value for money, make sure to try Niazi's restaurant ( down by The Dome & Rock's Hotel), we had the mixed kebab special and the food just keeps on coming! Also try a local Efe's beer, yummy!
Would definately return to the Pia Bella as we had such a great experience and came home feeling refreshed and relaxed.
One small thing the view from our balcony overlooked other apartments and a bit of a building sight but on a plus it was lovely and peaceful while other customer had lovely views but complained about the noise from the road. Dont go on holiday to sit on a balcony so this never bothered us.
Guests at this hotel can also be a bit older maybe not the best for young families as no entertainment or clubs for children.

We booked on-line for a budget break which included flights, transfers and half-board. The value was amazing. For the price we paid we were expecting a Butlins in the sun........not a bit. Transfer from the airport was about 45 mins and because we were late they gave us a meal before checking us in. The meal was VERY basic so much so that we ate out the following night. However, we decided to try out the restaurant for dinner and were amazed at the selection of Mezes and the choice of desserts was enough to make you feel guilty and start looking for a gym! The staff we found to be very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect, only a fifteen minute stroll into Kyrenia town, which was enough to work off some of the excesses of dinner. Breakfast was again a struggle to make the right choice. Endless arrays of fruit, Turkish breakfast, cooked English or a chef on hand to cook eggs and pancakes to order, all washed down with copious quantities of tea or coffee. The hotel was clean, rooms to a very high standard with plenty of toiletories and tea and coffee in the room. Several nights a week there was entertainment the hotel catered for all age groups. We were so glad we took this last minute break......just the perfect panacea for the winter blues

Room Tip: Ask for a non-smoking room facing south

Having booked this holiday in Kyrenia at short notice, wishing for some rest, relaxation and, hopefully, some sunshine after the poor summer in the UK, we were delighted to find all of these at Hotel Pia Bella. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and lovely view over to the mountains behind. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant is very well run, with excellent choices of dishes, served buffet style, making it easy for anyone with dietary difficulties. (Gluten free bread would be a wonderful addition to the great food on offer!)
Kyrenia Harbour, an interesting and colourful place is a twenty minute walk away from the hotel. We particularly appreciated the lack of commercialisation in N. Cyprus, and enjoyed our two weeks at the Pia Bella very much indeed and hope to return to explore more of the island and its history.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main road. The room we were given at first overlooked the main road, bu...

Cant fault the staff, but we didnt like the location. My husband and I went in August, which obviously was very hot, which we expected, but the location of the Pia Bella being in a built up area of town, made it very claustrophobic and airless, even around the pool, and in the gardens. We like to walk, but there was nowhere to walk, within an easy distance, to see anything scenic or pretty. The harbour is quite a walk away, and in the heat was exhausting.
We were disapointed in our room, which was an "free upgrade to a superior room". The air conditioning did not work, and the first night, (we got there late) was awful! The next day they "fixed" it, but the following day, it flooded the room. Nevertheless to be fair, it did get fixed eventually, and we were fine. Still, we have stayed in much better rooms, in lots of other countries, that were not classed as "Superior". Having said all that, we had a cheap deal so we could not complain about the price we paid, or the standard of food or service.
Kyrenia is looking a bit "tatty" too, sadly, which I know is just part of the sign of the times, but I would not rush back.

The room i had was a little tatty and very noisy as it faced on the road however i was only staying 2 nights and didnt want the upheavel and stress of requesting a move. The staff, restaurant and communal facilities made up for the poor room though and the price we paid was budget so i cant really complain too much.
The hotel is a lengthy walk from the harbour and the pavements and road are a little hazardous and not ones i would ordinarily walk along alone.

Room Tip: request a room which does not face the sports centre / main road
